Unfortunately no luck, with only those kexts i couldnt even get the apple logo to load, could only see the prohibited sign. Its really weird why i cant get it to work, doesnt matter what guide i use it just fails for me. Ah well ill stick to my trusty Sierra for now its running sweet
I just thought of a couple questions while doing some backups and creating installers:
-did you take your gtx770 out when doing the initial installation?
-if not did you use the nv_disable=1?
-Did you have the display cable in the iGPU and just set the preferred GPU in the BIOS until WEG and...
That would be really helpful, there must be a kext or something i am missing that is preventing the final stage of the installation from rebooting, its sooo close its annoying, you know it just needs to reboot and start the UI Setup but it just wont push past! hopefully you EFI will help with...
I have been trying but not had much success, i have had Mojave but i cannot get it to recognise my gtx 760 or the HD4000 so the graphics are always weird, i tried to direct upgrade from mojave to Catalina but the installer hangs ate 100% load bar... frustrating to say the least! I have just gone...
Just because i felt bad with the above below is the basic steps one last time:
1: follow the guide (option 3) - above
2: Download a version of Clover EFi from this sites download section, install legacy efi to the USB drive you have made
3: add in fakesmc.kext again downloadable from this site...
Hi @amonmon if you arent will to read the guide or any of the previous thread i wont help. Sorry to be blunt but i am a complete novice as you, yet everything is in that guide as well as previous pages of this thread, you have to do your research and learn.
you didnt follow the option 3 if your using unibeast, please re-read the article and look for option 3, its a terminal based build, so you will need to use Clover Installer to load the Legacy boot EFI as well as load the Kexts and EFI files that you need.

Option 3 works for me everytime, you just have to edit the location name a bit for the other versions...note it doesn't work with anything past Sierra.
