The shop has determined that my motherboard has died. I'm sending the notebook off to Dell sans the hard drive for warranty repair. Hopefully no cost to me.

Unfortunately, when I got my notebook back from the shop, it would not power on, even with the AC adapter plugged. All they did was replacing the antenna cables. They're suspecting a short on the motherboard. This thing has turned into a complete nightmare! Hopefully it can be fixed.:-X

Weird. I tried the BIOS settings, but to no avail. This setting disabled my function keys all together in Sierra. It just bongs at me when I press the volume up or volume down.
