How to extend the iMac Pro to X99 [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

I'm sorry, that's wrong. EFI partitions are marked as EFI or MSDOS, depending on the tool you use to manage them. Both Windows and OSX see these partitions fine using the likes of diskutil on OSX or computer management in Windows. You can mount them as type MSDOS, no problem. This was not an...

How to extend the iMac Pro to X99 [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

I've had the same experience. I've done this install a bunch in the same way without issues, but for some reason this time my windows EFI partition was destroyed. I too am in the process of re-installing windows. I guess the lesson learned here is to disconnect your Windows disk (if you have...

How to extend the iMac Pro to X99 [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

I hit this too - just haven't had time to diagnose quite yet. For me - I see two entries in Clover that say "Boot windows from..." but there's no from. Neither option works. If I figure it out I'll post unless someone beats me to it.

How to extend the iMac Pro to X99 [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Once again, thanks @kgp - another fresh install on my Haswell-E 5820k I've gone through the steps up until installing the nVidia drivers with no issues thus far. System seems responsive. Usually i'd then continue on with the steps re: power management etc, but noticed there were some comments...

How to extend the iMac Pro to X99 [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

I'm in a similar situatation. I installed High Sierra fine using an earlier version of this guide, but the latest is failing for me. @wernezio I had the same issue. Two ways to solve it for me; 1. Swap back to OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi and remove the new driver or; 2. Enable the "ALZA ->...

How to extend the iMac Pro to X99 [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

It was probably just the KernelPM flag that did it. I changed both at the same time - in any case, it worked. I've also now finished my install - applied the power management config, and am a happy camper! Thank you so much for your guides @kgp. I have one final question re: patching of Bios -...

How to extend the iMac Pro to X99 [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

So, I've figured out my problem and managed to progress a little further; For the EFI setup on my SYSTEM PARTITION - I had to re-enabled KernelPm and the xpcm_idle patch. Once I did this - the system partition booted to complete the install process. I'm not sure why this is, but @kgp this might...

How to extend the iMac Pro to X99 [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Can anyone help out with this? I've since tried booting the recovery partition from my main system drive too - which started to boot much farther - but ended on a couple of lines that might be interesting; considerRebuildOfPrelinkedKernel com.apple.driver.AppleIntelMCEReporter triggered...

How to extend the iMac Pro to X99 [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

I'm having an issue I'm hoping someone can help out with; I'm following the guide almost exactly (See below re formatting as APFS); Haswell-E X99 system. 1080Ti GPU. Asus X99 Pro / USB 3.1 Mobo. Has been running Sierra fine. I've created a USB 3.0 drive that boots into the installer fine. I...

    macOS 10.12.6 Update

Re: my issue, flag. Apparently nv_disable=1 sporadically fails for me. First time it failed, 3rd or 4th attempt it ended up booting and I could re-apply the fix. All is well again. :)

    macOS 10.12.6 Update

I have an issue I'm hoping someone can help out with; This is my first update. I've done a full backup, so if I have to I can revert; I'm running a hack with the 6,1 system defined - and had to run the AGDPFix when I first installed. Long story short, I installed the update - forgot to re-run...

    [Help] Asus X99 Pro / USB 3.1, GTX 970

Not knowing too much about hackintosh's, but that error message sounds suspicious. As in, perhaps you have a corrupt installer? Sounds to me like the installer files aren't passing a checksum of some sort. Maybe try making a clean installer (making sure to record your current setup somewhere)...

    [Help] Asus X99 Pro / USB 3.1, GTX 970

Well, I can give you my current config on the USB stick if you like, but its pretty much the same as in the guide you're using. Otherwise, maybe check BIOS settings? That I think helped me a bunch.
