Quick Guide to Generate a SSDT for CPU Power Management

That's strange. My clover has PluginType=true (I guess from the Multibeast installation), and I have the SSDT file in /patched. Does this mean that the file is ignored? I think there is a difference in cpu states when the file is removed.

Quick Guide to Generate a SSDT for CPU Power Management

Thanks. If I want to use XCPM I need to remove the SSDT.aml file from the /Patched folder? Do I still need to look for X86PlatformPlugin in IOReg to make sure PM is working? What is the difference between the methods? is XCPM a native power management?

Quick Guide to Generate a SSDT for CPU Power Management

I have Ivy Bridge i5 3570K CPU, and using Mac OS Sierra. Do I need to use this method and generate an SSDT file to make sure power management is working correctly, or do I need a different method/setup in clover? Thanks.

    CPU fan speed

Bit more info: I'm using FakeSMC along with the sensor kexts in CLOVER/KEXTS/OTHER. No files in S/L/E. I can read all items and fan speeds in HWMonitor just fine, but I cannot control fan speed. As said, CPU fan speed/core temp ratio seems different (lower) than on Win10.

    CPU fan speed

Hi all, My hackintosh is based on GA-H77N-WIFI with i5 3570k (no OC). I have it set up as dual Sierra/Win10 setup. On win10 the cpu speed on idle is around 1400rpm. For some reason in Sierra, under the same conditions, fan speed is only 930-950rpm, and as such the core temps are 3-5 degrees...

    GPU advice for Photoshop

Hello all, I have an older build with i5 HD4000 graphics only and Gigabyte H77N-wifi mono running macOS Sierra in an ITX case. As I do photo editing I'm considering adding a GPU. I DON'T do gaming. I'm looking for a GPU that will work OOB (web driver setup is ok), won't heat up my ITX case...

    Dual boot El-Capitan / Win 10

One more thing - I can mount partition 1 fine in OS X. It lists as "EFI" in DISK UTILITY (once I turn on hidden partitions). After mounting it I can see EFI->APPLE->Extentions folder structure in it (didn't touch it...) Any help would be appreciated.

    Dual boot El-Capitan / Win 10

I still have issue with the dual boot setup. I havn't installed El Capitan yet, but wanted to make sure I'll be able to switch Win 10 from Legacy to UEFI with the BCDBOOT command. I've booted usign the Win 10 install USB and made it to the prompt. Problem is I cannot assign the EFI partition...

"Selected Mac OS X Installer is Incomplete"

When it happened to me what I had to do was trash the installation from the Applications folder and re-download. I had no trouble doing that using the App Store app. Afterwards I made sure not to copy or move the installer to another folder and run Unibeast directly.

    Dual boot El-Capitan / Win 10

No, I use chimera currently. Will the BCDBOOT operation affect the clover bootloader? do I have to run Multibeast again in OSX afterwards?

    Dual boot El-Capitan / Win 10

So to summarise: 1. Install El-Capitan : 1.1 Onto the same partition Yosemite is installed now 1.2 using Unibeast 6.1.1 configured for EFI 2. Use multibeast to install clover bootloader and drivers 3. boot into windows using the Win install USB or BIOS hotkey 4. Run prompt, use DISKPART to...

    Dual boot El-Capitan / Win 10

What is the right order for the process - if i install El Capitan first how will I be able to boot windows to run the BCDBOOT? alternatively, can I transition to EFI before I install El-capitan?

    Dual boot El-Capitan / Win 10

OK, so Win10 is definitely in Legacy mode. So I have two options: 1. Find a way to force clover to boot windows ONLY in Legacy (and boot OSX in UEFI) 2. Re-install Win10 so its setup for EFI. I have found this: will adding this affect only Win10 boot? If I choose to re-install - can...

    Dual boot El-Capitan / Win 10

One other thing - The partitions on the common SSD were created, I believe, when I first installed Yosemite with Multubeast 7. I only added a partition for win10 and installed it afterwards.
