Thanks for the tips.
Would you provide a link explaining how to do such an update?
I tried Clover Configurator and PlistEditPro in the past but the amount of detail they revealed overwhelmed me. I am not familiar with Mac architecture. Maybe someday….
MultiBeast is more my speed, but when I...
95F does seem ok to me. But I cannot understand why there is such a temperature gradient. Does it mean that the heat sink is doing its job? Or that the fan on top of it isn't? Since the CPU is at the right temperature, then something must be right. But 232F inside the box says something is...
Can anyone say what the proper differential should be between these two temperatures? My heat sink is at 232 deg F, the cpu is at 95 deg F.
Is this the normal?
cpu is i7-4770
Ok, things look much better.
First, the BIOS:
The H87 board offers these options (that pertain to my turning off onboard graphics):
-----
Primary Display [Auto]
Allows you to select the primary display from iGPU, PCIE and PCI Graphics devices. Con guration options: [Auto] [iGPU] [PCIE] [PCI]...
Hey P1lgrim!
What should I do with the .plist? Copy it over the current one (after I make a copy) and then reboot?
And do you have MultiBeast .mb or some such so I can tell what changes you made (and maybe get an inkling why)?
Thanks!
The GeForce is driving the monitor (via HDMI I think). Yes, I installed the web drivers, using
378.05.05.25f01 of 10.12.6 Sierra found here.

Apparently you have spotted something drastically wrong....
I am so pleased that my first Hackintosh finally works. Thanks for all the great help this forum offers (because I had a few glitches;);).
However, there is a remaining problem: the computer is not very responsive. While typing, the characters take a beat or two to appear. Mouse clicks might...
@P1LGRIM
I think that was the problem. I went into .../Extensions and renamed ...GPUSensors.kext. Thanks for the help!!! I was worried I had some sort of peculiar mobo that was going to torpedo my success at this.
I made a photo of the panic screen. Hope it is clear enough.
Let me point out as well that I only formatted the SSD drive for MacOS. I left untouched the harddrive, which is still formatted for Windows 10. I supposed that MacOS would only note that presence of an unreadable drive, but, as it was...
Thanks for the reply!
Not being sure of your comments, I decided to reinstall MacOS. Also I downloaded MultiBeast anew.
The machine now gets to the Clover(?) boot menu. Hitting Spacebar gets me to "boot options" and I select Verbose, nothing else. Starting the machine from the Sierra drive, it...
Trying to simplify MBeast configuration, when I get to "install" the error comes:
The installation failed.
The installer encountered an error that caused the software to fail. Check the MultiBeast.log install log for more details.
I can only find: Clover_install_log.txt
In it: ERROR: can't...
