I see you were able to get it running using info from a real Mac. I put an older (2010) iMac in my wife's office which isn't associated with any Cloud account. She also has no need because she prefers an Android.
What info do I need to obtain from it? Where is it located? And can you...
I want to add - unfortunately I didn't deactivate automatic updates and the system updated on it's own. Nothing broke. Sound and all worked as it did before. Just thought I'd put this out there.
I was having issues in upgrading on my MSI system too. I just used a new SSD and it went flawlessly. I have the old SSD as a data storage disk. Wasn't worth the hassle trying to work out the bugs.
Finally got things running using Unibeast and Multibeast. I decided to use a new, larger SSD for a clean install. This went much smoother than trying to upgrade the original Mavericks drive. Everything works well including onboard sound, Airplay and networking. The only thing that doesn't...
You're not alone. I have the same screen :(
I was able to boot into the HD using the USB, but then I guess I messed something up. Now when trying to use the USB I get the screen you posted. If I try to boot the HD I get "Can't find mach_kernel"

I also ran disk utility to verify permissions and it 's greyed out for the root so I cannot run permissions. For the ML directory I get a message "No...
Anyone out there than can help on this issue? I'm thinking there needs to be some type of editing done to the system profile to prevent this. I figure when logging off, something is changing the status.
I noticed that after startup the system security is always unlocked. I can click lock and that works, but then after restart, the security lock is again off.
Is this a bug, trojan? Is there a fix? Anyone else notice this?
The audio is coming from the mini jack on the board and not thru Displayport. My only issue is the volume is limited. Not sure why but I'm getting this anyway as I don't like the sound from the speakers from the Asus monitor. This package should give it more punch...
