ok, I tried to follow it closely, but will check again.... the one I am certain of is that I did not use the commands in terminal you listed in step 3.D. .... Should I try to enter those now? or are they already taken care of in the preferences/energy saver?

tried retesting sleep, will not wake properly still (system powers up, but blank screen still).
also tried using another wired keyboard/mouse used on another hack build, same result.
while we are talking, is it OK to do these and other apple software updates, either now or later, for Mojave...
also just noticed that if I select "lock screen" instead of sleep from the apple menu the system will lock to login page and then become unresponsive (screen goes blank, cycles signal/no signal) and then goes to sleep but not wakeable with mouse press (power button blinks rapidly) and does not...

the clover configurator indicated that for my i5-4590 to set the system def as 15,1 so that is what I went with, I do not have legacy option ROM enabled in setup, I do not have a AMD card installed (just the basic graphics).

Getting this error after trying to create unibeast installer. "couldn't create USB installer" see image below
I have tried following all the troubleshooting suggestions (the mojave installer was downloaded using the macOS Mojave Patcher tool as i am running snow leopard on an older mac...
I found another SATA port on my motherboard and usded it (it was white instead of blue) and also In my bios I was able to change boot mode from efi to ACHI and it worked, I was able to see the drive, not sure which one did it but i suspect it was the bios change.

(I have a GA-Z68AP-D3 that I havent built yet and was going to buy a closeout i5-2500k for it if I knew I could get usb3 working properly).
I would most likely use Mountain Lion on it.
