    I'm facing the same problem with my X230. Maybe booting with "-x" will solve problem. "-f" flag could mess up a little bit.

    Maybe others need but for me it is enough. I don't have neither DSDT patched nor custom ACPIBacklight.kext loaded and it works. In SysPrefs->Displays there is no slider.

    I've found that program from http://www.bergdesign.com/brightness/ can easily manage our laptop brightness without any patches. The clue is that it must be held in minimised state. Moderators please pin the thread.

    I don't know why, but while booting into system through the install disk I have speed stepping working out of the box. While booting directly by system disk it won't work even on the same kexts... :wtf:

    It's caused by native EFI/BIOS speed stepping in X230T. ML reads cpu state which is set on startup and can't change it later (especially when plugging in AC adaptor).     Hi there, when i enable graphicsenabler in bootlist I get the black screen during boot. Any Solution? I've tried with many hd4000 ids with no result. EDIT: Solved with EFI-string injection :D
