I'm using an i9 on the 9570 and it's working pretty well. No issues related to the CPU, although I believe the max. turbo frequency could be higher. Not really an issue for me, however.

Thanks for all the work you did on the XPS 9560 - this was the first starting point that worked for my XPS 9570. It looks like my Github repo in turn has helped many other people, so your work continues to pay dividends for many others.
Well that's true.. after using a touchbar MBP with its...
I added a PR to your repo, since the enable-dpcd-max-link-rate-fix option isn't read when set to 01000000. Same applies for dpcd-max-link-rate. The boot arg -igfxmlr works fine.
Thanks for adding this patch to WhateverGreen!
You'll want to connect J0 to the white cable, J1 to the black cable, and J2 is optional for a 3rd aux antenna. See readme for more details: https://github.com/bavariancake/XPS9570-macOS
As far as I understand (and I'm not a graphics expert by any means, so corrections are welcome), you're running into the same div-by-0 issue addressed in the ALT patch.
See report.txt:

See post #1 link to the "new long story", section on AGDCDiagnose. It's a long read, but explains what the original non-ALT and ALT patches do and how to check if the link rate being reported incorrectly by the display is the issue you're having.
After testing the patch from @shenlinsl, I noticed graphics get choppy after the display turns off (not sleeping), unlike with the ALT patch which works.
Do you know if the max link rate reported by your display is 0? Or could the patch you're using do something else?
I'm actually trying to...
I'd like to test the HDMI port without patches for the internal LCD interfering with that work.
How would I completely disable the internal LCD connector, but keep the HDMI output enabled?
I've tried various connector settings by changing the index of conn. 0 to -1, the type to dummy, etc...
I can't dismiss the Clover update dialog with the "Not Now" button. File -> Import -> IOReg Dump (either option) closes the app with no message if no dump is in IOReg. v1.8.0 also had an issue where it would close when opening an IOReg Dump that was present - I had to revert to v1.7.9.
I remember seeing this when I used the incorrect DPCD link rate patch from the other thread:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/fix-coffee-lake-intel-uhd-graphics-630-on-macos-mojave-kernel-panic-due-to-divide-by-zero.261687/
I suggest reading through the linked article and see how to read the...
I've been attempting to get HDMI out to work, and tested with the ALT patch that has worked 100% for the internal display so far, but get a kernel panic when plugging in an HDMI cable. See kp-attaching-hdmi.txt for that crash. When I try to boot with the regular 4k patch, I see another kp...
