I have also installed my High Sierra system on a fusion drive. I already have tried to update to Mojave on a system copy on a hard drive. I still waiting to read some success stories about fusion drive conversions on a hackintosh.
Since 6 hours there is a new version of clover available (r4334 Clover_v2.4k_r4334.zip).
In the commit comment of this version https://sourceforge.net/p/cloverefiboot/code/4334/ there is a statement about OSInstall.mpkg. It looks like my problem could be fixed in this version.
Please wait or use Carbon Copy Cloner to make a copy on a separate hard disc. Afterwards you can update this cloned installation.

Since three days the ticket is closed. I think it is fix in Clover version r4301 onwards. :clap:
However right now the newest precompiled version of Clover is still r4297. Hence we have to be patient for the next few days till version r43xx is available as precompiled binary.
