Most of these options can be configured via the BIOS on other hardware that I know support it - on a mac mini though, I am not quite sure. Maybe you can configure it via osx and have the boot loader select linux by default??
I would love to hear back on this issue. I used to have a decently working USB 3.0 port in Lion versions 10.7.1 - 10.7.3
I recently updated to 10.7.5 and I couldn't even mount my device anymore. Interestingly enough I do have certain outputs in dmesg if I take a look
USBMSC Identifier...
This is no problem. One thing I will advise you of though, since you are likely to use a SSD anywhere from 60+ . . . 120+ gb... is that you disable/lower the page file size in winfail. It will be 1 to 1 with your RAM size, and if you're like me, you'll have 16gb of ram and barely any HD space...
I triple boot a system myself personally, and it gets tricky if you installed a distro of linux like ubuntu with default settings.
I haven't found a straight forward way to do it - rather a tedious way. It required installing the default windows boot loader, and then booting into your...
Re: Guide: GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 with ATI 6870 - Clean Lion Install
I am having an issue with mouse lag / roughness when I'm using my graphics card. Interestingly enough when I set my graphics card back for rma service ( for different reasons ) I fell back to the Intel HD 3000 graphics and I didn't...
I also have an issue with mouse lag and am using a radeon hd 6870 card on lion 10.7.3. Relatively high end, but still issues with mouse lag. I also have tested using onboard hd3000 graphics and there seems to be no mouse lag. Kind of puzzled.
There is a file that can be edited to show the clock speed of your liking. I forget what it was.... Erm... Anyhow... This has been distressing a bit as well, but it's not big deal since geek bench clearly posts better results.
I've gotten 9400 at stock and 10400 when clocking to 4.0ghz. For some reason when I go to "About This Mac" it reads an incorrect CPU clock value. Is there a fix for this??
EDIT: Apparently everyone gets this.
Anyhow, has anyone compared their builds in Linux? I boot three OS's and my Linux...
Hey, seeing that you scared EVERYONE away with this post, I am curious if you managed to do any of this on your own. I would love to do something similar with Arch Linux with LVM.
Hey there. For some reason now I have an unbootable USB. Interestingly enough, that is IF I boot directly from the USB i.e. select it as my boot device. But on my main hacktintosh desktop, Chimera sees this USB and I can select it and enter the setup (with some graphical artifacts which I am...
This is my experience, and the experience of many in this thread -

My card is in the process of being replaced by the manufacturer warranty.
This question may sound redundant. I am wondering if a usb created via unibeast with laptop support enabled is absolutely required. I currently have a USB created with laptop support NOT enabled. Perhaps there's a work around for this, meaning I would still be able to use this usb intended...
