OK, I will give it a try and post the results.I have heard about the Freeze Fix app, but was skeptical to try it because most forums I've read regarding this app and Mavericks seemed to be unsuccessful. I will give it a try though, and certainly appreciate the tip.

Hi, Yes, when I increased the voltage it is much more stable. I write a lot of reports and work in Excel a lot, so what has worked for me to prevent loss of work is to chafe save setting to autosave every 2 minutes. Kinda janky, but at least I am not losing work now (not as much at least)...

hi, My computer turn on by itself every day around 8 am. When I go on trips, I have to manually turn off the power supply or else the computer will stay on for days. Any ideas? I am guessing it is a bios setting but I haven't narrowed it down yet. I have GA UEFI Bios.

OK so I ended up buying a new Mobo for $89 (GA-Z77-HD3), which seemed to be the cheapest UEFI board I could find. Everything works now including sleep, magic mouse, and ethernet. PCI-e ethernet cards seem to have trouble in these builds.

This worked for me. I was fighting this for a few days and could not find anything usefull until this. Thanks to Tonymac for a few successful builds and saving about $2,000 on the cost of a G5. This website rocks!
