hi @zacmks, sorry to hear about your job situation. OpenCore is still abit buggy at the moment so I just opt to use Clover atm. Seems to be the most stable with me. I haven't tried the new OpenCore yet since I kept getting the battery bug when updating to OpenCore > 0.5.4
that is on my side.
Hi @rafael.armenio can u help me how to disassemble it correctly? Or can u direct me to a link that I can read on how to do it the correct way? Thank you
Hello everyone. I was working on adding a battery patch to the system DSDT. However, I cannot compile the file since I was running into this error. I got the latest maciASL from Rehab as well as his iasl. I set it to 5.2 tho the error are still persistent. I would love for some help here. Thank...
Hi @raqall, I believe that this is not only a you problem. I'm also in the same situation after updating OpenCore to 0.5.6. Looking for some help on SSDT-BAT.dsl patch for coffee lake if anyone can. Thank you.
First things first don't use Clover, OpenCore instead. Read more on their github. Opencore will be supported as Clover will come to an end in term of support.
I don't really understand what you mean by "After re-boot-installation ending: non-check". Please elaborate more since we can't help you...
Hi @zacmks, I hope you are safe in the midst of the things happening around the world. Since everything is so crazy right now I have a chance to update and working on the hackintosh. Some few notes
- Updated to the latest OpenCore, Mojave works fine. I finally fix the black screen problem...
I noticed one behavior. When you "hotplug" your monitor half way through the apple it will magically turn on the external display. However, thing is getting a little bit buggy at the moment. I'm testing around for a permanent fix for thunderbolt 3 hotplug.
Interesting approach, I will give it a try myself. It could be some of the deprecated SSDTs patches that could cause the problem. In addition to that, you don't have to use ssdt that disable DGPU since you can just disable dGPU with -wegnogpu with the recent WEG update.
Hmm it should be able to do the same. Did you change your setup_var yet? they locked BIOS by default. I recommend to flash the bios again then change setup_var. If you still have problem just remove secure boot and reset NVRAM.
Hi @zacmks, I fixed the backlight issue by changing HibernateMode to 3. I think normal Opencore would also work. Also I just included AppleBacklightFixup.kext and added to config.plist. However, the issue is that I can't control brightness anymore. I suspect BacklightFixup is the culprit here...
