UniBeast is a bootloader and installation aid. After the initial Yosemite installation (part 1), reboot UniBeast selecting your newly created installation drive and complete the Yosemite installation process (part 2).

Before rebooting without using UniBeast and right after you completed part 2 of the installation process, run MultiBeast, which loads the modified drivers (kexts) and unique kexts that allow running Yosemite without booting using UniBeast. For most systems, you only need to run the latest version of MultiBeast for Yosemite choosing:
Quick Start > DSDT-Free
Drivers > Audio <--- Here you select the appropriate audio driver (see motherboard Users Manual)
Drivers > Network <--- Again, select the driver for your Ethernet chipset (see motherboard Users Manual)
The DSDT-Free option loads default drivers which is recommended for most systems. See page 3 of the MultiBeast for Yosemite Features document which comes with the MultiBeast zip file.

Once your system is successfully running Yosemite, you can use MultiBeast to (for instance) change the default MacPro3,1 System Definition to an Apple system that reflects your processor and motherboard chipset, such as the iMac14,2 System Definition for the Haswell i7 processors. (Note, however, this example is used for fine tuning and is optional as most people systems, using a graphics card, runs fine on the default System Definition of MacPro3,1.)

In summary, UniBeast facilitates installation of Yosemite (or previous versions of Apple OS X). MultiBeast is (typically) run once to load drivers to enabling booting and running Yosemite without having to use UniBeast to boot into Yosemite.

Another great guide, thanks Stork :clap: - worked well on my GA-Z97x-SLI with i5 4460

I only had trouble at one stage of the installation so I have edited your instructions to include this extra (simple!) step- it may help others who are struggling....

:ch: If your installation's System Definition (SysDef) is not Mac Pro 3,1 (Early 2008 or MP3,1), run MultiBeast for Yosemite (without your .mb file) just changing the SysDef to Mac Pro 3,1 (MP3,1) as the nVidia web drivers won't install otherwise.
:ch: Customize -> System Definition -> Mac Pro -> Mac Pro 3,1 (MP3,1)
:ch: Add "nvda_drv=1" to the Kernel Flags in /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist.
:ch: Install the latest Nvidia WebDriver for OS X 10.10.1 > WebDriver-343.02.01f01*

***At this point the Nvidia web drivers said "your mac is unsupported with this driver" or something similar.... I checked the system def and it still said imac 14,1 so I removed "nvda dr=1" from kernel flags and repaired permissions in DCPI manager then restarted the machine. After the restart system def was changed to the required Mac Pro 3,1 and I was able to re-insert "nvda dr=1" to the kernel flags and install the Nvidia Webdriver with no further issues :D

(then i continued following storks guide.....)
:ch: Shutdown
:ch: Install the GTX 750 Ti in the PCIe slot - leave the monitor connected to the on-board graphics port
:ch: Restart into the BIOS
:ch: In BIOS, change
:ch: Peripherals > Initial Display Output to PCIe 1 Slot
:ch: Peripherals > Intel Processor Graphics <--- leave Enabled

:ch: F10 to save the BIOS and let it boot into Yosemite using the on-board graphics
:ch: Shutdown
:ch: Move monitor cable to graphics card.
:ch: Boot into BIOS
:ch: In BIOS change Peripherals > Intel Processor Graphics to Disabled
:ch: F10 to save the BIOS changes and boot into Yosemite.

Thank you for the correction which I made to the OP.

Thanks for responding. I will give you some news in a few days :D

@Stork, it would be super nice if you could share the way you updated to 10.10.2 as your "hows to" are always super clear and perfectly functional! :D
If you don't have a nVidia Maxwell graphics card and don't need the nVidia web driver, like I do, then, see Post #2 in tonymacx86's 10.10.2 announcement. For the 10.10.2 Security Update, a new procedure is required; see Post #193.

If you do have a 750, 750 Ti, 960, 970 or 980, then follow this procedure:
:ch: Repair Permissions using the Disk Utility on the drive to be updated;*
:ch: Backup your current installation using Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper - Do This;
:ch: If your installation's System Definition (SysDef) is not Mac Pro 3,1 (Early 2008 or MP3,1), run MultiBeast for Yosemite (without your .mb file) just changing the SysDef to Mac Pro 3,1 (MP3,1) as the nVidia web drivers won't install otherwise.
:ch:Customize -> System Definition -> Mac Pro -> Mac Pro 3,1 (MP3,1)
:ch: Reboot
:ch: Download the latest MultiBeast for Yosemite if you don't have the latest;
:ch: Download the nVidia Web Driver for 10.10.2 > WebDriver 343.02.02f01** but do not run it yet;
:ch: Download the Software Update or the Combo Update and run it to update to 10.10.2;
:ch: Re-boot with -v nv_disable=1 (if you get a freeze or KP, then try again adding -x);
:ch: Run the nVidia Web Driver installer but do no reboot when it's done because you have to...;
:ch: Run MultiBeast for Yosemite, just selecting your audio driver to install and, optionally, the 10.10.x TRIM patch;
:ch: When MultiBeast has completed loading the audio driver (and TRIM), close it out.
:ch: Re-boot by clicking the "Restart" button in the nVidia Web Driver installer window; and
:ch: Upon reaching the Yosemite Desktop, Repair Permissions again.*

* You can use the Terminal instead of Disk Utility if you feel comfortable with a UNIX command:
Code:
sudo diskutil repairPermissions /
** Note: Although I try to keep this link up to date, this may not be the latest driver. I have never been able to successfully use the nVidia System Preference pane to update the driver. It freezes the system before completing the update. After the first time I tried it, I had to boot with the UniBeast USB thumb drive, download the latest driver from nVidia's web site and install the .pkg file. Upon rebooting normally, the system is restored and running correctly.

I updated the installation for 10.10.2 with a nVidia Maxwell graphics card two posts back.
