I read the Readme. I guess I'm just failing miserably. I installed the kext correctly, I know that. This is where it gets confusing for me...

In order to cause the kext to be loaded, you need to apply the DSDT patch provided in patch.txt. It adds a fake device ‘RMNE’ which the driver will attach to. - I'm not entirely sure how to apply a DSDT patch...

You may also use the provided ssdt-rmne.aml as an extra SSDT for the bootloader to load in lieu of implementing the DSDT patch. - Is this saying that instead of using the patch...I can do this option!?...

To install the SSDT:
Chameleon: Place in /Extra/ssdt.aml or /Extra/ssdt-1.aml, /Extra/ssdt-2.aml, depending on what SSDTs you already have installed. - I really have no clue what this is referring to=/...

Clover: Place in /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched/ssdt-X.aml where 'X' is some number that you're not already using for SSDTs. - Don't have Clover...so I should be good here...

A step by step process would REALLY help TREMENDOUSLY! I've been trying to work on this Hackintosh off and on for about 3 months, sadly=/...lol...

It is a patch to be used with MaciASL.

Yes.

The /Extra folder is a folder for Chameleon/Chimera bootloader configuration, including patched DSDT/SSDT files, DSDT.aml, SSDT.aml, SSDT-1.aml, SSDT-2.aml, etc. This should be part of your basic hackintosh knowledge.

If you have no SSDT installed (eg. you have not implemented CPU power management), then you would install it as /Extra/ssdt.aml.

I tried to do the patch twice and came up with THIS error...not entirely sure why...=/...

Also...I couldn't find a MaciASL download for Snow Leopard...

The most common cause of that error is having a AML file that is not in AML format (eg. saving a text file as DSDT.aml).

MaciASL works only on Lion and above.

Hmmm...alright...so I tried to use "DSDT Editor" before...and apparently in doing so, I may not have saved something correctly I suppose?! I watched a YouTube video of somebody using it to apply patches...so I'm not sure why it didn't work when I tried it...

These are the errors I get when I try to apply the patch...

The errors existed prior to applying the patch. You should resolve all errors before applying any patch.

Done...there was only 2 Errors...but once the Errors are fixed...are "Warnings" and "Remarks" okay to still have left over!?

You only need to be concerned about errors.

I saved it as an AML file from there(pic 2)..and placed it in the /Extra folder(pic 1). I restarted my computer and don't see "RMNE" as a Network Device. Where do you think I may have gone wrong?!
