Hello,

I have a working hack for many years with chimera and I would like to refresh my config with clover.

Just follow tony's guide in legacy mode, but I can't go further than the text menu.

I tried the standard config file and NVIDIA one, same result.

Any idea ?

More information is needed to determine what your problem is;

Is this computer your only computing resource?

Is your machine single boot or dual boot?

What version of OS X are you currently running?

Why are you asking about a Mavericks install, why not Yosemite?

Do you have a DSDT.aml file in your current OS X system?

Do you have more then one HDD/SSD attached to the machine?

And most important do you have a working backup (clone) of your system set aside for recovery should it be needed?

Good modding,

Thanks for ur answer.

No, and I also have multiple disk inside it so I can boot on the one I choose.

Single on each disk.

Running 10.9 with Chimera.

It does not matter at this stage, I would like first to boot an installer through clover on sub stick.

Do you have a DSDT.aml file in your current OS X system?
Yes, but not needed to boot through chimera for example. Unibeast keys for both 10.9 or 10.10 boot fine without patched DSDT.

Do you have more then one HDD/SSD attached to the machine?
Yes

And most important do you have a working backup (clone) of your system set aside for recovery should it be needed?
Yes, working on a new SSD.

Yes, I also try this, with the same behavior.

I boot on the usb stick and arrive in a grey / blue dos like screen but whatever I try in the different text menu, I can't go further.

For clover, I use the latest version from sourceforge.

Thanks for your help. Could you tell me which release of clover and which config.plist do u use ? I will give a try with the same one.

Yes I used Clover_v2k_r2976 and started with the Nvidia config.plist from Tony's guide.

And when I install Clover I choose the Black and Green theme as the default is butt ugly IMHO.

Once I have Clover booting the way that I like, I use the Clover Configurator app and set the delay time to 0 and un-check verbose boot and un-check log (found in the boot section).

Good news, I retried using the same version has you and I was able to successfully boot a test partition from clover using the clover test drive method.

I was previously testing with 2988 release, and now it works with 2976.

I got a kernel crash after a few minutes when using this 10.9.2 test partition, but it's probably due to the fact that it has been installed for Chimera, I suspect a conflict between kexts.

So, I'm now gonna try a fesh yosemite install using clover methods....
