Have you got proper audio out of the headphones port?

Yes I do have! BUT! ... I don't use Rehabmans audio patches (hda) therefore, because I've had problems with it since Mavericks.

VoodooHDA (2.8.5) does the trick for me. It doesn't work out of the box! You have to edit the kexts Info.plist and change some bytes to your audio DeviceID and VendorID and then install it with your favorite kext wizard ;)

If you are interested, look at this great solution on: o l a r i l a ... "DOT COM" ... /forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=454&start=0

Moderation seems to have deleted the post - this time a little more special solution - without the "..." ;)

With Public Beta 4 (or was it 3) I did a clean install. But I switched back to Mavericks, because I wasn't happy with the performance. This time with the final version I did an update on top of (the relatively fresh) copy of Mavericks 10.9.5. For me there weren't any problems - but first I set the boot arg "kext-dev-mode=1" in clover config.plist - Yosemite only allows signed kexts - with this setting all kexts are allowed (like in all other OS X versions before). Important especially for FakeSMC

Did you have to update Clover? For me, it loads, then hangs on the black background with white Apple logo and the spinning beach ball (I ran the application from Mavericks, and Clover rebooted into the installer). Trying to update Clover results in a "The installation failed" error message.

It depends on which version of Clover you're using. You should use a relatively recent version of Clover...

Yes, that's right! Have had this problem too on my first attempt. My actual version of clover now is 2953 (updatable for example from the clover sysprefs plugin). With this version you should get it without spinning wheels and hang ons.

Rehabman: Thanks again for updating your kexts. Haven't tried HDMI yet, but my system now runs really much more faster as with the old kexts. I also did update my dsdt and ssdt with your snippets. Now I don't know if it runs fast because of this or because of the kexts - or both. But before it was really slow.

And with the glitches by loading the login screen I read somewhere, that users with original macs have this problem too, if they have a HD4000. Everything else incl QE works great.

One last thing - wich is probably a Yosemite one - is that quicklook and the photo/pdf preview is slow. Also a problem that original mac users have with 10.10. But the rest of all programs are stunning fast and Yosemite works great. Seems to be a wait for 10.10.1 ;)

Yosemite is up and running, and it's pretty smooth. VoodooHDA works well, except that on sleep, it stops working, so I set up SleepWatcher to load and unload the kext on sleep and wakeup.

(A small quirk with Yosemite is that the webcam functionality seems to be partially broken, photo booth can take pictures but it only shows a blank view in place of where the live camera view normally would be)

Cool. Thanks for that. I'll have to give VoodooHDA another try.

It seems we have a solution for everything except the SD reader now. Has anybody tried the BCM94360CD M.2 format wifi card that you can get on Ebay now?

The webcam isn't really a big issue for me, but I'm not the only one that sees this when I open Photo Booth, right? (I can still take pictures)

So I just read this thread. It's ben a while.. now done updating all my Macs to Yosemite, ready for U430.
I see that kext needs to be updated, so needs to update osx-voodoo-ps2-controller right? anything else?
