Great thanks-

Have nMP 6.1 set now, man this thing is FAST. I didn't expect this much more snappyness coming from a 3930k. I'm *only* getting 30,000k GB3 32bit at 4.4G, is that low? How much lower is 32bit vs 64? PT performance so far looks killer though. I'll post more as I know more...
30k is sort of low for 4.4ghz, although it might be normal for 32-bit. It should probably be around 33k or 34k for 64-bit, idk about 32-bit. I've noticed that gb3 doesn't have as big of a difference between 32 and 64 bit as gb2 did though. Try turning off speedstep/eist in the bios and make sure you're using nullcpupowermanagement and see if that helps. Then try a different smbios such as macpro3,1 and see if that helps as well.

All that being said, those scores may or may not mean absolutely nothing as far as daw performance goes.

Edit: like like the 12-core nmp is at 29k for 32-bit and around 32k for 64 bit so I'd say that's about right.

I'm try to rename or patch the dsdt.aml but an error was occur in compile dsdt.aml.
Try the attached dsdt. Reply with IOReg. If no audio, attach all problem reporting files.

So far so good-

So I'm still having to boot from the unibeast USB stick, this is something we are just waiting on a BIOS update to fix? I installed clover but it doesn't seem to do anything. Not a real big deal.

Otherwise nullcpupowermanagment seems to have brought it up to 31000 GB3. I still have turbo enabled with it set to 44 as the high, is that how it should be or better to disable turbo? In any case it's running great. Got everything back up and opened a bunch of PT sessions with no problems. I'll be switching this into my main rig here much sooner than expected.

64bit GB is 34514 @4.4.

You shouldn't need to disable turbo, sounds like it's doing just fine. And yeah as far as we know the inability to boot legacy from a gpt is a bios bug. Clover I don't think is working either (uefi or legacy) and I think that might be an incompatibility with clover itself. Not too many people have tested it.

You can boot from the internal drive of you use samtimbaud's trick of converting it to MBR. The only problem with that is if you update to Yosemite when it comes out you would have to convert it back to gpt again since osx won't install to MBR.

I have a Gigabyte X99 UD5 WiFi with a 5960x and an Nvidia GTX 770. I have network and sound working. I can't get graphics at anything other than 1024 X 768 on only 1 monitor. System Profiler shows my card as nvidia chip 3mb rather than GK 104 or GTX 770. This is with OSX Drivers or Nvidia retail drivers. System Profiler also shows it in slot 4, its actually in slot 1.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

hi Manic Harmon1c:

About the DSDT come from? I'm use the DPCIManager. It has a Extract DSDT function.
Because I just rename it. So you will see a strange name with the DSDT file name.
And you think the SSDT may affect the system, then I will make a clean installation without the SSDT.
You tell me more experience with OS X ,thank you.

hi toleda:

After a clean installation the sound output is still not work,
but the DPCIManager show that OS X detect the ALC1150 chip from Intel HDA. (It's not empty)
And the system preference got the device output and input.
The output was failed, any application with output voice will make some error.
Surprised. The input microphone was worked....

Hmmm, Sam, maybe it's time you compile your experience together in a thread as well.

Sorry Guys for the time to answer but i have a lot of works.

I loaded Cubase sessions without any issues.

Now i have a question, it recognized under Firewire name on the System profile.
is it normal? do i think in fact to have 800/mbs and not 20gbs ??! or just a wrong interpretation of OSX.

To activate TH card, is the same that first thunderbolt 1.0 on Z/X 7,8,9 motherboard.

Fisrt: Install card in the PC
2nd: load windows then download last asus thunderbolt driver, install it. check if the THcard is well recognized + your thunderbolt devices (peripherique) too on Windows, very important.
Shut down.

3rd: Change in the Bios-->advanced--> change Security mode to Legacy + change cache line to 128 (in my case to activate properly UAD Apollo)
4th: be sure that AIC location is at x4.

5: in OS X deleted some Kexts

Tomorrow a friend will bring back one.

Unfortunately,I do not have the courage to write in English, it is so hard for me to explain each sentences, words, ideas.. (so bad and poor vocabulary)
what ever..

otherwise, i gave a technique for boot without usb key. if Jamie can re- explain with a good english how i did, it will be nice :)
