Hello,
after two days of attempts and loss of some hair, really need help. Got myself brand new GA-Z87X-UD5 TH (bios F4 which should be the latest) with ALC898. Have Hasswell i7 4790, 16Gb memory, SSD, etc. and I am trying to use HDMI from HD4600 (internal Intel graphics). Can get sound through internal sound or optical output but no HDMI audio (whatever I do).
Built & installed over weekend using OSX 10.9.4 with Multibeast 6.4.2.
Installed with Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > ALC898
Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > Optional HD3000/HD4000 HDMI Audio
and some other settings (SSD, USB3, Intel 2.54 etc.).
I checked the Troubleshooting items I was able to figure out... (1) HDMI is connected - TV is my display, coded ID 10ec0899, revision 0x0003, layout ID <03 00 00 00>, ....
No HDMI audio at any moment. I tried many suggestions in the post 1 which seem appropriate for the system I have, but all I achieved is either no audio at all or internal audio/optical - which both work just fine.
I think I need some kind of reset and dumbed down instructions. I have few other 10.9.4 real Mac machines to get any kext I need.
here are examples of my today attempts:
A. I installed back the original AppleHDA.kext (checked info, it was unmodified Apple version) and tried again with the Multibeast. No HDMI sound.
B. Installed back the Apple kext and patched according to
>Notes: 8 series/AppleHDA.kext (backup native kext before patching)
>1. 10.9/AppleHDA.kext_v2.5.2 or 2.5.3 only edit
> Installed with MultiBeast 6.0 or newer/Realtek ALCxxx Audio
> Download (View Raw) - Updated 7/17/2014: audio_hdmi_hd5K-hda-90_v2_patch.command.zip
> following instructions with the patch command
I must be missing something obvious - as I read through the post 1 I get lost in what applies to my system probably.
If I read correctly, it should be as simple as "patch original kext with Multibeast 6.4.2" ?

Can you, please, point me to how to reset back (reinstall is possible but bit seems overkill, I think) and what part of the post 1 applies to me?
Sorry for the length and may be wrong language and overall confusion, this is my first hackintosh. Lot's of other experience with real macs, windows, etc, but I am still confused by some of the language here
Thanks for any suggestions & help!
