OS X 10.9.2 Update

Status
Not open for further replies.
I updated my system, I have a GA-H77N-WIFI with a Fusion Drive.

After installing the Combo update to 10.9.2 my system no longer booted, even with -x parameter.

I had to start it with an alternate system that I have installed with 10.9 on another partition, and installed Multibeast with all the settings adequate for my system (as it was a recently installed system) to my Fusion Drive.

Rebooted, and my system worked perfectly.

They fixed the slow Finder!... Files appears instantly when you change between folders... Good update

Zero issues here, thankfully. Updated, put kexts for my vid card in and all is well :)

SMB2 still not fixed... awaiting 10.9.3 :(

(sigh)
:thumbdown::thumbdown::thumbdown:
YEs, with everything "nice" in 10.9.2, it looks like they had to rush it out the door 'cause of the SSL bug... SMB2/CIFS is still painfully slow.... as in :beachball: 2-3MB/sec:beachball: slow when the gigabit ethernet network is idle and the NAS on the other can screaming stream the same ISO image to a Windows VM *inside* this MacOSX 10.9.2 instance at 50MB/sec ;(

Ie. it's faster to copy files using a Windows VM that to attempt it using Finder from the SMB share ;( ;( ;(
Not to mention the stuttering videos when watched on my laptop from the NAS. :banghead:

There, I've vented my issue: Other than that, followed the rules and advice and the latest Probook 6.1.13 installer and I'm running 10.9.2 on my ProBook 470 G0 :clap:(Thanks RehabMan :headbang:)

now to find a working (re)installation of my P9X79 + GTX760 (or GTS250) + i7-3820 ;( ;(

Applied on B75M-D3H with success, the only thing i had to do later was apply again the audio patch.

Will there be a new uni and multi to go with the new 10.9.2 install mavericks from scratch?

After Updating booting system causes monitor to report "No Signal" after Apple Logo On a GA-H87N-WIFI based Oct 2013 Customac.

Screen goes black after boot, i try everything, back to 10.9.1...

Any ideas?????

Hi, nearly the same system, except mine being an i3.

I updated as per normal, then loaded just the audio non dst alc892 and reapplied the trim, that was it, machine booted no problems!
You need to boot via the unibeast usb me thinks!!

updated to 10.9.2 without problems. Applied AppleHDA and rebooted, everything seems good so far. Still can't use messages.

Followed initial instructions, update installed without a hitch. And best of all, I now can put my hackintosh to sleep (and wake it up) for the FIRST TIME! The (limited) support for X79 seemed to do the trick for me, and I'm running with no DSDT!

THANKS!! :headbang:

Here's the step by step way to update:
:ch: Repair Permissions using the Disk Utility on the drive to be updated;*
:ch: Backup your current installation using Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper;
:ch: Use the Software Update to download and install 10.9.2 (recommend using the Combo Update);
:ch: Re-boot;
:ch: Run MultiBeast for Mavericks and just select your audio driver to install and TRIM (if needed);
:ch: Re-boot; and
:ch: Repair Permissions again.

If you have TRIM enabled, check to see if it was affected by this update.

* You can use the Terminal instead of Disk Utility if you feel comfortable with a UNIX command:
Code:
sudo diskutil repairPermissions /

100% Success! Thank you!
