Hello,

1.I'm looking to buy a Lifebook T902 and would like to know if it's hackintosh-compatible.
Have any of you had success with this?

In general, there seems to be very little information on the internet about the hackintosh-compatibility of the Fujitsu Lifebook series, though it's a popular model. Is there anything I should be aware of?

Specs:

Intel® Core™ i7-3520M
- Intel® QM77 Express Chipset
Realtek ALC269 HD audio
Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6205 Dual Band ABGN network connection
Full specs : http://www.fujitsu.com/hk/services/computing/pc/tablets/tseries/t902/specs.html

Any advice is appreciated, because my buying decision rests on this. Thanks in advance!

I have most of it working... but I am afraid the WACOM drivers might be a huge pain in the neck. I would bet that all it needs is to have its device id added to the driver, but I have little idea how to do that. Wacom utility keeps saying no supported systems detected. I haven't tried sound yet. the t902 has such garbage speakers that you might not notice the difference not having sound :D ... I know... headphones.

So... to install... follow the usual methods on tonymac. Then multi beast...

No DSDT
PS2 Drivers (for touchpad and keyboard)
scrolling works taps... etc.
USB3 universal - usb2 and 3 ports work with backwards compatibility

Add string to org.chameleon.Boot.plist for HD4000 (no external HDMI monitor working yet):
<key>HD4000PlatformId</key>
<string>9</string>
<key>device-properties</key>
<string>8a00000001000000010000007e0000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff0400240000004100410050004c00300030002c004400750061006c004c0069006e006b00000008000000010000002c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d006900640000000800000004006601</string>

Find a alc269 kext below and use a kexthelper to add it.
-------------------
Wireless - no worky yet.. I dont know if the chip is supported.
Battery - I dont know if battery levels are supported yet.
Power management seems good as the fan seems to run at the appropriate times of load though I dont know yet beyond that.
Dual batteries seems to function fine.
NO TOUCH OR PEN INPUT ...yet :(
--------------------

Sorry if that is patchy at best for info... I am in medical school right now and dont have much tinker time with my computers anymore.

Hi

Have a Fujitsu T902. I will try this. I understand that you need a atheros wireless card for the wireless to work.

I will attempt a install this week.

Thanks for the above info.

Has anybody gotten the multi touch or the wacom pressure sensitivity to work properly already?

ok able to install and boot. Just need to get better than 1024x768, usb not able to mount/detect usb keys, wireless and ethernet. Once this is done can upgrade to 10.8.4, get audio working too.

I am able to install 10.8 and update to 10.8.1. When I try to install 10.8.2 onwards I cannot boot the unit, but under -x the unit will boot fine.

Any reasons why 10.8.2 onwards will not work.

Hey everyone. I have been living in Ethiopia for the summer so I haven't been able to hack n tosh n stuff. Windows 8 is a such a pile of crap that you have to use 7 on the t902 if you want to avoid suicide. OSX should be up and running soon soon soon.

WACOM - I use it for onenote in medical school
I have figured out how to use the Wacom through parallels. But it will require installing a power switch on the digitizer power cable. When you run parallels if you unplug the digitizer then plug it in it registers as an HID compliant device that is searching for a home and then Parallels will ask you what "machine" you want to plug it in to. I think it auto powers off if it doesnt find a home in OSX then Parallels cant find it.

I cant figure out how to power cycle the usb hub in OSX... so that would be easier. but I think that a power switch will be a fun project, plus I can turn the digitizer off if I feel so inclined, which may be convenient at times.

I think that OSX based support is unlikely unless you can port over the linux support for it... which I have no damn clue about how that works in the slightest though I would imagine flux bananaberry gigagiggies and megaflops of motherboards will be required to do such things.

Here is a proof of concept.

And here is the power cable that needs a switch proof of concept

Please forgive the aspect ratios. I may have been drunk while doing this... or just preoccupied enough to not care about flipping my phone on its side.

Wireless - you need this :D
The wireless card is fairly easily replaced with something that is a mini pci or whatever the size is... ATHEROS AR5B97 T77H167.07 LF HALF-HEIGHT-MINI-CARD WIRELEss is the one that I got. It works. Fewer antennas on mine but I think it will be fine.

Graphics...
See posts above for strings. No HDMI out yet. not sure about vga yet.

Power...
Havent tried sleep/wake. Both batteries register and work fine.

Audio
Fine using kexts provided above.

Speedstep n stuff... I dont know yet.

USB..
Totally works 100%% 2 and 3

ET0
Dunno, my t902 is dumb and I cant get back into the bios to turn the wired lan on again. Dont know what is up. Reinstalled bios etc with no luck.

Trackpad and keyboard
Great! better than windows support by far. synaptics makes such crap touchpad sofware for some of their things.

Buttons on the screen dont work yet...

Fingerprint reader not tested yet

SD card reader not tested yet.

wireless on/off not tested yet.

hallo,

i've got T902 and trying to make work Mavericks (10.9.0-10.9.1) - everything (of course not wifi and touchscreen) important is working except graphics (HD 4000) - tried all methods - graphicsenabler, boot strings, modified kexts... resulting in hanging on log screen or black screen. only possible to reach os screen is booting in safe mode.

can anyone confirm if HW acceleration with this notebook is possible in 10.9 and eventually how to get it to work? :D

thank you!
