GTX 780 crashes Premiere Pro CC

Anybody tested the 10.9.1 update yet? I just did and I can confirm a slight improvement on the OpenGL side, I haven't done serious tests, only Cinema 4D. Performance is still far from the windows drivers (on C4D), perhaps after this update Nvidia finally releases new webdrivers? anybody thinks they might won't do it at all?

What about the unsupported cards?

I'm sitting on an unopened Asus GTX 780 DCII OC and after reading this very informative thread and a number of others, I am debating on filing and RMA with newegg and going with a 770 (I made the purchase before the December Buying Guide). I'm assuming the card I have is Rev.B considering I purchased it about two to three weeks ago. I could be wrong but I don't really want to open the package just to check.

I was wondering if you fine folks could take a minute and explain the major issues with the Rev.B. I'm a graphic designer and rely on Creative Suite (CS4) but I do all my gaming in Windows which is on it's own HDD within my case.

It has already been stated that there are no nvidia or amd driver updates in 10.9.1
they are the same drivers as in 10.9.0
only intel got updated. so that should settle that for now...

My bad, the improvement was because C4D got updated today too.

Rev. B is unsupported until nvidia drivers are updated. Even then it's not sure to say it'll happen.

Some apps trigger opencl that don't even use it. I've even emailed devs asking what uses opencl in their app and they actually reply "huh?" cause they didn't do it. it's just that 10.9 seems to use it at core level for some OS calls that apps have been using for years, that now it just uses opencl for in 10.9 and up. So even old programs are hit or miss if they just happen to call something that was moved onto opencl in 10.9.

So I did a little sleuthing and contact Asus with a serial number, with hopes they could advise me on which Revision the card was. I was hoping I could tell everyone here, that yes they can find that information for you based on the serial, but I can't. However, I was able to discover that the general warranty start date was 10/30/2013.

Does anyone have a general idea of when the switch to revision b was made? I assume that since the warranty start date is 10/30/2013, that the manufacture date was at some point before then. Also do these numbers mean anything to anyone: VG0A04.

I also reached out to NVIDIA and asked about drivers (why not?) but basically got a canned response with a link to a $600 GTX 680 Mac version.

Googled your model, seems that you have Rev A1.

You should google your exact model to be sure.

Thanks. Yeah, I have come across that. There are so many threads about the topic out there and the info so scattered that it is difficult to really get a thorough understanding. I've read that all GTX 780 are moving over to Rev.B, though that may be incorrect. I love Apple and OSX but sometimes the restrictions are a huge head-ache. I will admit though, atleast with my hack, I've gotten all the hardware I've wanted, up until now.

You got lucky and got an old stock GK110A version of the Titan. All newer stock uses the GK110B GPU. People reading this should not count on getting a GK110A out of a Titan at this time.

The problem with OpenCL and GK110B crashing OpenCL, this is only MAC? or does this problem occur in Windows as well?
