Guide for Installing Mavericks on Z68X-UD3H - i7-2600K - HD3000

Now I'm having issues with HD3000 not using hardware acceleration, iMovie and iPhoto just won't work.
I've tried setting the system definition to mac mini 5.1 and that didn't help, anyone else having these issues ?
I didn't check when I installed as it loaded ok and installed all the software just fine, but I've just discovered that acceleration issue.
aaaarrggh.

I updated my Son of Zorro build, which uses an AMD/ATI 6850 graphics card instead of HD3000, using the procedure in my original post. Mavericks and MultiBeast v6 work with the default GraphicsEnabler=No now with the previously funky, hard to get working, AMD/ATI 6000 series graphics cards.

Does anyone know how to get HD3000 to work as a second graphicscard?

I got my GTX560ti as primary graphics, and i would like to enable hd3000 for 3. monitor use.
I use Macmini 2012 system definition, GraphicsEnabler=Yes and HD3000 enabled in BIOS

Thanks in advance :D

My rig:
I5 2500K
GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3
GTX560ti ACUII
8GB 1866mhz corsair vengence

I have Z68X-UD3H-B3 (F12), Core i7 2600, running Mavericks right now with DSDT downloaded from the database. I updated from 10.6.8 SL using UniBeast and MultiBeast 6.0.1. I wish I had seen your thread earlier, it is a perfect and well documented walk-through! It covers everything I had to do for this MoBo, including the SSDT options for Sandy Bridge Core i7.

I enabled RealTek Network card for internet (obviously) and everything is running pretty much flawlessly.

There are issues with Quicktime X, though it appears to be an Apple/Mavericks issue as opposed to a hackintosh one. Quicktime 7 (the one that's actually worth a d*mn) is working.

I apparently need to install an update for GarageBand because there's a giant NO symbol over the icon in the dock.

Safari has a couple of minor, easily fixable issues. For some reason the flash plugin wasn't working, so video sites like YouTube would show an error and not work. Installing flash plugin solved the problem.

One problem that I haven't resolved yet is the sound, I have none. The volume speaker is grayed out. Under System Preferences/Sound and Audio/MIDI Setup it says "No [Sound] Devices Found". I added the RealTek ALC889 driver (with DSDT) when I ran MultiBeast. The only audio kext in the S/L/E folder, aside from AppleHDA, is HDAEnabler889.

I'm going to run MultiBeast again and try reinstalling that Audio driver, otherwise ????

Thank you. I wrote it so you could print it out and check off the boxes as you completed each step.

Be sure to use the ALC889 with DSDT. You only need to run MultiBeast for Mavericks selecting just the below audio driver.

Hi! I have the same motherboard, using the Core i7-3770 Quad-core processor and a EVGA GeForce 640 graphics card.

I used to have a 10.8.2 installation functioning perfectly, until yesterday my USB suddenly stopped working. I decided to do a fresh Mavericks install. I did everything like you say on this topic (with the exception of installing the Sandy Bridge kexts).

Still, I cannot boot Mavericks without the -x boot flag. When I use -v, I always get stuck on this:

**** [IOBluetoothHostControllerUSBTransport][SuspendDevice] -- Suspend -- SuspendDeviceCallResult = 0x0000 (kIOReturnSuccess) -- 0x2800 ****

Any idea what I might be doing wrong and how to fix it?

Thanks so much!

Interesting. That doesn't seem to be exactly my problem, but it seems likely that the combination I chose could be behind it. I wasn't aware of this, but I always suspected something was wrong with my setup, as my system couldn't handle Mountain Lion 10.8.3 and up. I will look into it, and perhaps think about getting a different motherboard. I will report later in case someone else ever gets the same problem.

Thanks for showing me the article!
