Let's say I want to change a theme, or I realize I installed the wrong kext... how do I undo selections I've previously made? I'm trying to make changes that just don't seem to be working.

I was told to delete everything in the "Extra" folder and start again, but that sounds extreme.

In advance thanks!

If themes is all you want to delete, the themes folder is located under /extra and you can delete this folder and then run Multibeast and select the new theme you want. The new themes folder will be installed under /extra.

If there is something in particular you want to delete, the PDF file that comes with Multibeast shows the folder location where each item is installed.

You should also select Rebuild Caches and Repair Permissions under System Utilities when you make these changes.

Re: How to undo MultiBeast changes

So if I want to start fresh, Can I delete the contents of the Extra folder? And, I think I just discovered another issue. Am I correct that the DSDT file I downloaded needs to be renamed DSDT.aml ??

If you checked the RTL1000SL.kext file for ethernet when you ran MultiBeast previously, delete it from S/L/E.
Otherwise, just delete the contents of the Extra folder. As for the DSDT, you only need to rename it if you put it in /E manually. If you checkmark User DSDT in MultiBeast, then MB renames it as it copies it from the desktop to /E.

Re: How to undo MultiBeast changes

I'm up and running - THANKS!!
Turns out I was making several changes trying to get the network working. I assumed MultiBeast would take care of deleting the previous selections.

I manually deleted the kext in the Extra folder. Applying the proper kext, manually did the trick.

How did you undo the changes that you made? I made some changes on my Hackintosh as well, but forgot to check the rebuild system cache and the other one, and now I can't boot into my Hackintosh.

Reboot and when it gets to the tonymac/apple screen you'll seel a little blue bar running down. Press any key... and do it quickly, you only have about 3 seconds.

Type this to enter safe mode and hit enter:

-x
