I am trying to build this machine using the very same board (ga-z77x-up5-th) any direction or guidance?
Follow my lead in the original post. What are your processor model # and graphics card/method?

For starters, I want to say that this guide is amazing and very helpful! But, I have one issue...

My computer sleeps fine and wakes from sleep fine using a wired keyboard.

But, I would like to know if there is anyway for me to wake it using the wireless apple keyboard or trackpad. These are connected via bluetooth and work fine. But, they do not wake from sleep nor do they work in Chimera. Any thoughts or advice?

I would prefer to use the apple products, so please don't just suggest to use a wired keyboard...Thanks!

Sometimes the BT dongle needs to be on an external hub. Does your monitor have a USB hub "in" it? (That's where I have mine now since I have my systems connected to my monitor via a KVM switch, and I can share the BT among multiple systems.) If not, try to get an inexpensive power USB hub.

I have the same BT dongle that you listed in your OP and it is connected to my monitor's hub. This hub gets power while the pc is sleeping because I can use my wireless logitech mouse that has a proprietary logitech wireless dongle to wake the pc. I have also tried moving the BT dongle to other USB plugs on the computer to no avail. I have actually ordered a different BT dongle to see if it makes any difference. I'll keep scouring the forums and google for answers in the meantime. If you have any other thoughts or suggestions, please let me know. Thanks!

I, too, have a Logitech keyboard (K760 Solar Mac) using the Logitech Unifying receiver connected to the monitor's hub. I use this keyboard to get into the BIOS and, when the BT becomes cranky, after an OS X update. But, 99% of the time, the BT works when presented with the login screen upon boot up and awaking from sleep. I for the life of me don't understand why two people use the same BT USB dongle on the same motherboard, and it works for one person, but not the other. Bottom-line: don't give up as something will click (yes, pun intended).

Stork,
What kind of Harddrive are you using? Is it a SSD? You did not note anything about the 4K block problem? Is it true that all SSD's are 4K capable, but emulate 512 blocks, and only 4K spindle drives present the error, which must be corrected in Terminal? (Boot0 error)

dasboot5,
I use the SanDisk Extreme 120GB SSD as implied in the original post build description. The SanDisk does not have the boot0 problem. IIRC, the tonymacx86 Buyer's Guide HDDs do not exhibit the boot0 problem.

However, if you have an SSD that is exhibiting the boot0 problem, backup your partition and re-partion (and reformat) the SSD. This should make the boot0 go away.

MacMan created a guide for those having the boot0 problem on HDD: boot0 Error: The Official Thread

I received a new BT dongle (The IOGear one) and it works perfectly. Both the keyboard and trackpad wake from sleep and connect instantly. Thanks again for your help - it looks like my old dongle must've been a bit off.

You're welcome. If you got the IOGear BT 4.0 version (GBU521) in the tonymacx86 Buyer's Guide, be advised that it will only work with the newer version of operating systems since it's a BT 4.0 vs. a BT 2.0. But, unless you're working with older OS's, you won't have to worry.

problem resolution standby with USB 3.0 enabled

installing the bios BETA F12j allowing disabled the USB ports one by one on the motherboard I overview the USB number 3 port was the problem that wont standby

by disabling it also helped make all ports usb bootable allor before that only had USB 2.0 ports with a bootable USB key

the usb port number 3 is the one at the bottom left to the DVI port

must set the mode to ENABLE xHCI, not SMART AUTO or AUTO

everything works perfectly now, after three months to find the problem :D:D
