Hi!

i am running my hackintosh on this mainboard for a few months, it is working great except bluetooth:

at the beginning it did find my magic mouse for example, but it was never working properly, since then i can not find any device.

Bluetooth connections in general are working in this environment, there are no interferences with other devices.

Has anybody got the same issues or a hint for me?

Thanks!!

If you talking about the stock WiFi + Bluetooth combo card, which comes with the MB (Intel-based), better replace it with any AirPort-compatible card and get yourself a separate BT dongle. You can find some recommendations in the CustoMac buyer guides.

Thanks, i just did so, i ordered a belkin bt usb dongle online.

The BT in my H77N-WIFI works fine. You do need to remember to have the external antenna connected (the one closest to the HDMI port on the back). That's the only "gotcha" I can think of.

Maybe so, but what's the point to have a wireless card, when you can't use it (even if it is a WiFi/Bluetooth combo card)?

I personally prefer to make for myself an Apple Bluetooth mod adapter, I've already ordered the parts.

Maybe because some of us don't need WiFi on every machine? There's a gigabit LAN cable right *there*. (points)

That does have some advantages, including the ability to turn the BT off (which the internal card doesn't seem to let you do). Something about sleep too.

Thank you so much!
i always thought bluetooth works with an integrated antenna, one antenna near the hdmi connected and it works perfect!

Thanks!

Day 3 on new hackintosh,

Setup
i3 3225
GA H77N WiFi
Corsair Vengeance RAM
Mountain Lion 10.8.2
Multibeast 5.2.1

All working well...except the WiFi/BT card. I dont even want the WiFi since, as its been pointed out....there are 2 nice 1G ethernet ports I can use. Any tips to getting this BT to work? Others have mentioned it is not going to work...the Centrino n 2230 chips dont work with OSX. But a few of you have gotten them going. I have attached the antenna(e)...nothin. Doesnt appear there are any kexts /choices in Multibeast that have anything to do with this card. I can always spend a few $ and get a USB / BT adapter...but then again, I could also have bought a Mac!

Any ideas most appreciated. LW
