I just built this same setup and I can't get ethernet to work. it doesn;t see the ethernet adapter. Anybody have any help for a noob! Thanks :)

Here's my build..

GA-z77-D3h F7
16GB Kingston Hyper X
Intel I5 3750 quad 3.4Ghz
OCZ 128 SSD Sata III
Seagate 1TB Sata III

I get ML installed and booted but can't connect to network. I kept getting the setup screen round and round trying to setup a network connection in the initial setup so I chose "No Network" and that got me booted up but now I have...well no network and I can't seem to get it setup. Any help appreciated.
Thanks
-Frank

Check first page guide.

Install atheros ethernet kext using multibeast

Hey Thanks I re installed it and used This -v -F npci=0x3000! Now just have to make the other graphics card to work! Thanks!

No need for -v and don't think -F is needed either!

what about USB 3.0 ? How can i check if sleep is working without a hang ?

You say that the F14 bios is attached in the package but I don't see it. Can you point me to it please?
Thanks -Frank

I have a (almost) fully functional system using the following configuration:

- Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H (note the Z77 and D3H, no X, M or DS3H)
- i5 3570k (this will also work with the 3770k or any other IB chip with the HD4000)
- using HD4000 graphics but DSDT has been modified to also work with some other dedicated cards (not supported in this thread, please seek help in relevant section)
- Lite-on IHAS DVD-RW drive
- Some 8GB DDR3 1600 ram (any should work really)

As mentioned above, the system is almost 100% working including the following:
- Boot, sleep, shutdown, hibernate and wake from all states
- Dual monitor support through HDMI, DVI and VGA
- All 8 USB ports in 2.0 mode
- HDMI audio using the HD4000 (DSDT was modified to also work with some other dedicated cards - not supported in this thread, please seek help in relevant section)
- Onboard audio (SPDIF, green, red and blue)
- Onboard LAN

The only things which do not work are:
- The 4 USB 3.0 ports will only work in USB 2.0 mode
- For the onboard audio only SPDIF, green, red and blue work. For surround sound use HDMI audio or SPDIF. There are no issues AT ALL with the working connectors
- PS/2 port does not work (try PS/2 patch in multibeast, have not tested)

Requirements:
- I recommend running the F14 bios. The DSDT will not work under F18 and the USB ports have problems. F14 bios is not available from the gigabyte website anymore but it is attached in the package
- The DSDT and kexts have been designed for 10.8.2 and will NOT WORK under any other version. Please upgrade your system to 10.8.2 before seeking help in this thread. If you installed the FAKESMC please remember to perform the ACPI rollback after doing the upgrade, otherwise the system will run into kernel panics. I cannot help you if you are running 10.8.1 or 10.8.0.

Installation
- Install using your favorite method, no modification or flags are required for the initial boot
- Confirm that your system boots by itself using the Chameleon bootloader before installing any tools/kexts and seeking help in this thread

If using multibeast select the following options in multibeast:
- Maolj's Atheros Ethernet
- Chameleon Bootloader

That's it, nothing else is required. DO NOT INSTALL ANY OTHER KEXTS OR EVEN THE DSDT AT THIS POINT. First make sure your system boots and upgrade to 10.8.2. Once you can confirm that it is booting fine and you have updated install the rest. Confirm the contents of your boot.plist. As a reference I have used the following settings. Change your resolution if necessary.

<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GenerateCStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GeneratePStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1920x1080x32</string>
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Kernel</key>
<string>mach_kernel</string>
<key>Legacy Logo</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Theme</key>
<string>Choose_Your_OS</string>
<key>Timeout</key>
<string>2</string>
<key>UseKernelCache</key>
<string>Yes</string>

Once you are booting up fine, have verified your boot.plist and are running 10.8.2 you can start installing the DSDT and the kexts.
1. If you have installed FAKESMC perform the ACPI rollback, otherwise skip this step (new multibeast 5.1.1 FAKESMC may fix this, not yet confirmed)
2. Restart
3. Place the DSDT.aml into your /extra/ folder
4. Restart, nothing else required to install a DSDT
5. Install the patched APPLEHDA.kext using kext utility
6. Install the PXHCD.kext for USB, make sure you have all USB ports set to 2.0 mode by selecting "smart auto" and "disable" for all ports in the bios
7. restart, you are done

Help me develop this further:
Sound: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/671...nd-mt-10-8-project-via-2021-a.html#post421314
DSDT: http://www.tonymacx86.com/dsdt/67101-ga-z77-d3h-dsdt-10-8-a.html#post421312

Again, this guide is only for the GA-Z77-D3H. It will NOT work for a different version of the board. I will not provide support for different versions of the motherboard or for systems running different versions of OSX

For previous installs remove APPLEHDA.kext and VIA2021.kext, run kext utility, restart and install the new DSDT and applehda.kext.

A big thanks to Nithy (http://www.osx86.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=3041) who made all of this possible!

Thanks but the zip file might be damaged. I downloaded it multiple times but failed to extract.

Well if it makes you feel any better I dl'd F18 from Gigabyte and it doesn't install - fails with some kind of check byte error message. Oh well, guess I'm staying at F7 for now. This system is rocking anyway lol. :)

F14 bios attached in first post now, it was also in one of the posts in this thread

Thanks!

PXHCD.kext makes kernel_task run at 100% CPU usage when a wireless usb adaptor (DWA 125, ralink rt2870) is plugged in the blue USB 3.0 ports.

It works for both F14 and F17 BIOS. The only problem I found is that sleep no longer work with dsdt.aml in the extra folder.
Remove the dsdt.aml file and install VodooHDA for via to get the sound back again with sleep enable.
