Thank you! You are awesome! I made clean install and now everything works even better that Lion!

4. When setup completes, reboot. Leave your USB drive connected. When the UniBoot loader appears on screen, Now choose your Mountain Lion disk instead of the Installer (or USB or whatever you named it). It is a good idea to use a -v boot flag, just so that incase it does hang, you can see where its occurring.

5. Most likely, your machine will hang. If it does, reboot again, and now boot with a -x boot flag. This SHOULD get you to desktop.

Total Noob question but how do I boot with a -x flag? I ran the install and it is hanging telling me to reboot after I try to boot from flash drive. Installed over the top of a working 10.7.3. Am I better off just doing a clean install?

In bootloader (chameleon or chimera) press TAB, it will switch you to text bootloader and you can write any flag you want.

9. Run a repair permissions + rebuild cache if you'd like under the Maintenance section.

Nice guide, thanks for writing it up. Honestly very similar to the procedure my co-worker and I used as well.

Also thought i'd mention that repairing disk permissions took a VERY long time for both of us. Be patient and it will complete :)

Thank you Bandysc that worked. Install complete and I am up and running thanks to this guide. I did not have Bluetooth running to begin with and still don't however I did not try installing it from the Probook installer. Might give it a whirl.

WiFi lost

I seem to have lost my WiFi after my 2nd reboot. Tells me no device detected. Any ideas?

Hmmmm, wifi seems to be picked up randomly upon reboots. I am not getting it to load every time.

Once you have done everything your directions always get a kernel panic with all the flags,-v,-x,-f,-s and so on. I had a fully operational Lion10.7.4. Any suggestion and help please!
