How can I get the intel HD4000 drivers working (with QE/CI) in Mountain Lion? ..Anyone who succeed??

I installed Mountain Lion. And then, Multibeast for the audio & the network.
I also installed Chimera 1.11.0. But nothing seems to be changed.
Everything works well except for the internal graphics, HD4000.

I found this blog about the device property injection for HD4000... but I don't get it.

Can anyone explain how to load the intel HD 4000 drivers in ML?

hd4000 with Mountain Lion

Im having the same issue with my Asus P8H77I,i5 3570k,hd4000,Mountain Lion 10.8.0
Everything fired up with very little effort but the first thing id like to fix is the hd4000 output.
I tried chimera 1.11.0 with no results.

Any ideas?

I got it working great as soon as I installed 1.11.0 my next reboot fully working graphics. There have been a few quarks I have noticed. The first boot was perfect. Second one it tries to set it to a resolution that doesn't work. I think I saw my monitor flash once with 2560x1441 when it should be 1440. If I unplug my monitor and let the Mac rediscover it sets it to the best resolution and we are off. The problem I have with that is that I use a Thunderbolt Display so unplugging the monitor means that all the ports/audio/camera/etc stop working. I ended up setting a resolution of 2560x1440 in the chamelon boot file and it works. The only thing about that is you CAN NOT change the resolution. Well you can but it will blank the display and Mac OS X will forever remember that resolution so you will have to erase and reinstall.

However on a different machine at work I was having an issue getting HD4000 working on that. I would get to the boot logo and spinning wheel. And then as soon as the OS should have booted the video just locked. I am fairly positive the OS was booted and doing stuff just my video was locked. I am thinking it is a port issue with that board but I am not sure. I was using the HDMI output and didn't have a display port adaptor to test the other output.

I got it working somehow using tips around the web.

Putting this string in your org.chameleon.Boot.plist in S/L/E did the trick, although I still want to try different strings (0-9) to get it recognized as a HD4000. I did this after installing Chimera 1.11.0.

<key>HD4000PlatformId</key>
<string>3</string>

I'm getting a 1920*1080 resolution now. Not sure of acceleration. I'm going to Cinebench right now.

I'm on Z77-DS3H with i7-3770K. I was getting 1080 resolution in Lion, with changes to the boot plist file. However, installing Chimera 1.11 in ML just locks up at the spinning apple logo, similar to Einsteiniac perhaps its the HDMI port? I want my hackintosh to be able to play videos at least!

About the Chimera injections - I noticed that the plist didn't actually change after the installation (but before the reboot). Can't verify after reboot, because it locks up!

hd4000

Its not perfect but it will do for now.

Edit /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist

Add
<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1920x1080x32</string>

Rather than what is suggested above.

Thanks damuffin, I'd already done that, but only as a temporary workaround. Also had to set GraphicsEnabler=No

I thought ML would bring QE/CI? Or atleast the ability to play videos :banghead:

what did the "NO" setting do for you?

I am on same motherboard as you but setting that key in boot.plist did nothing for me...

If i use graphicsenabler yes, i have a proper resolution but all screen is covered in artifacts, making it unusable.

@ypz801 Your system reports also shows that the HD 4000 kext is not loaded.
Without the HD 4000 kext loaded, you will not get full graphic acceleration (QE/CI).

The system report of graphics should look like the thumbnail I attached.
Changing the graphics mode for a full resolution is not what I want.
I already have 1920*1080 for my display and I can play my HD videos smoothly.
However, witout full graphic acceleration, there are many limits..
