Sorry. Suppose I have a mix of USB2 and USB3.0, USB3.1 ports on a computer, and I also have a mix of USB2 and USB3 flash drives. What external condition could exist that would require me to use any of the computer's USB2 ports? (Since USB3 ports are backwards-compatible with USB2 devices.)explain your situation better
Thanks for that insightful answer; I would not have thought of that.On early attempts to install macOS on a new motherboard for which you have no USB map. USB 2.0 ports come first, and so should work, while USB 3.x ports may be disabled by the 15-port limit.
