Gigabyte Z690 Aero G DDR5
CPU
i5-13600K
Graphics
RX 6800 XT

Corsair launched 192GB DDR Kit earlier this year

Has anyone tried it out on their Z690 DDR motherboard? This one can support up to 192GB of memory.

The only thing is speed is only 5200MHz.

I don't see this on their memory support list https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z690-AERO-G-rev-1x/support#support-memsup but it still might work. Has anyone tried it yet?

You guys have sleep on timer working or just manual sleep? I finally got to testing sleep on timer, and that doesn't work - only manually.

I disabled auto sleep, so most of the time I manually set it to sleep if the fans get loud or RGB lighting is too much for me (turns out too much RGB is not good). Both worked but the occasional restart during sleep still persist in both cases.

if you install four DIMM sticks, they will work maximum on 3200MHz. Only if you install just two DIMM sticks - they will work on 5200. So, if you plan to install four sticks, you can buy cheapest DIMM modules with lowest freq.

Really? have you tried the 192 GB DDR RAM kit? Even with XMP enabled?

Someone confirmed that it worked on a separate motherboard (without mentioning about the frequency speed)

but I haven't tried it on my Z690 DDR5 motherboard. The DDR 5 version supports up to 192GB according to Gigabyte spec while DDR4 supports up to 128GB.

Also there is like no cheap 192GB DDR5 RAM kit at the moment.

absolutely
i've tried with amd/intel cpu's
by default memory works on 3200mhz (in case of 4 dimms installed)
i've tried to increase frequency to 3400 - system is very unstable.
if 3600 - system doesn't start at all

Do you have the Z690 Aero G DDR5 or DDR4 version? were you able to enable XMP profile?

i haven't tried ddr5 on my hackintosh (z690 aero g ddr4)
but i have asus z670e creator + 192gb of ddr5 corsair modules

FYI - on the DDR4 board, you cannot run XMP and 4 dimms of RAM. It won't work at all, only 2 dimms are allowed for XMP.

i'm talking about x670e / ddr5 motherboard

yea, we were both talking about different things. I was referring to the 192GB DDR5 set of 4.
i also referring to the 192gb ddr5 set of 4 modules

i think you will not notice any difference on 3200mhz vs 5200mhz, so i recommend upgrading if you need more ram
