Install macOS with WD_Black SN750 NVMe !

Yes, It's been widely known for over 2 years now. Why be confused ?

The SE version was released later, it costs more, so just ignore it. A mistake by WD.

Really?
The WD_SN750 Has been widely known over 2 years fully compatible for macOS.

Then I should go for sn750 for Monterey or Ventura?

You could do that or get the newer, faster SN850X for less money. It's up to you, either one works.

For anyone that hasn't bought their NVMe SSD for use with macOS. The very best deal going now is the SN850X. Even if you don't have a gen 4 motherboard, it's the drive that will hold up the longest and stay the fastest. At 60 dollars for a TB it's a real steal, as they say. The older SN750 sells for much more on Amazon. The key difference between this and lower cost drives is the LP DDR4 Dram. It has plenty, whereas drives that sell for under 50 dollars usually don't have any. It also has the fastest IOPS of just about any drive you can buy for consumer use.

You mean this WD_SN850X is better than SN750 for macOS, even use for gen3 board.

Which NVMe should I go for Skylake with Monterey and Ventura macOS?
WD_Black SN850X
Or
WD_Black SN750

All right.
the WD_Black SN850X is cheaper and faster for macOS.
I should go for it.

Is it must get 1TB NMVe driver for macOS ? Can go ahead with 500GB?

I know the read and wrote speed will be different btw 1TB and 500GB, but my motherboard is support Gen3 x4 NVMe, 32GB/s transfer.

What will it be different if I take 1TB or 500GB?

The smallest size available (SN850X) is 1 TB. Go with that, you may need the extra space later on.

@Stork uses the SN850X in his builds. I'm sure he could tell you what a solid choice it is.
Even very large programs open instantly, no waiting, watching a bouncing dock icon.

The WD SN850X is my recommendation, too. I use the 1TB version because of the amount of my music and video files. If you don't need 1TB storage, get the 512GB version as the 512GB and larger have the fast read/write speeds. Don't get a NVMe smaller than 512GB as they are slower.

The problem is, WD SN850X doesn't have a 500GB size. The good news is, the 1TB SN850X sells for 40 dollars less than the 500GB SN750 on Amazon. So it's like getting a free 500GB that's also much faster. Plus a 40 dollar rebate.
