pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Hi pastrychef, I downloaded today and installed your latest 08 OC EFI and I am still getting the message
OCS: No schema for SerialInit at 5 index, context <Debug>!
I did reset nvram a couple of times but its still popping.
The SerialInit string (from Misc/Debug) mentioned by snoopy69 seems to be correct?
Any hint?
Other than the message before OC selector the system appears to boot normally.

That should have been fixed already... Make sure you are using the included config.plist and not your old one.

Yes, I did it again to be sure I was not making that mistake.
I always edit your config.plist, and after adding my data I first erase the old EFI before copying your whole EFI folder.

Open your config.plist with either PlistEdit Pro or Text Edit and do a search for "SerialInit" (without the quotes). Then delete the entire line.

I deleted the line and now I get:

OCS: No type match for Debug at 2 index, expected type data got dict, context <MISC> !

I don't know why you still have that... It's already been deleted from the EFI on post #1...

I'll try on Monday, I am away from my hack now.

Yeah, that´s weird, it is your 0.8 EFI´s config to which I only added my serials and rom. And the init checker was unselected on OCC as you can see in my previous capture.

I also rechecked that I was using the latest OCC version (2.60 compatible with OC 0.8.1) to edit the file.

Have a nice weekend.

Yes, that worked. Thanks Pastrychef!

Then -just to understand where those two lines where coming from- I edited again your orignal file with OCC (2.60.0.0 which I downloaded on Friday) and those two lines where back when I checked the file with Textedit. So I went to OCC page to find there is a new 2.60.0.1 version which solves the issue.

Wanted to update from 0.7.5 to the new 0.8 OC. I copied my serial info from the old config.plist to the new, and touched nothing else.
Initial bootup would not complete. Took around 15 minuted for it to reboot and start over. I figured I needed to reset NVRAM, but none of my USB ports are working before I get into macOS, which it did after a complete shutdown, and a 5 minute bootup time. So I can't reset NVRAM. Why aren't any of my USB ports working until the OS has started up? I see that your MB is the G Gaming, whereas I have the F-Gaming, but I would still think that a few of the ports would work, even if they're not the exact same. (The z490 listed under my profile picture is the Hack I have at home - this z370-F is in the office)

The USB ports are specific to motherboard. You need to do your own mapping. The USB 3.1 gen 2 ports should work because they are on a separate controller.

The slow boot might be due to a Samsung NVMe SSD.

Clover EFI updated to r5146.

OpenCore EFI updated to 0.8.0.
-ForceAquantiaEthernet enabled

*Note: Considering ending support for Clover EFI here because testing it screws up booting from OpenCore afterwards for me and I have to go through a convoluted process to fix it...

The new OpenCore 0.8.0 EFI doesn't work with my machine. 0.7.9 works perfectly, I double checked twice. I am on Big Sur 11.6.5 (20G527). See screenshot attched.
