@CaseySJ Is Thunderbolt hot plug still working for you all (on the ProArt) in 12.2 ?

Here you go!
Attached is a (hopefully) fixed version. Please give this a try and see if the extraneous 3rd port vanishes.

3rd port is gone now, but no devices are connected.

Hot plug can be a little finicky, but it still works in Monterey 12.2. A warm reboot may be needed. The green lines in screenshot below (taken 2 minutes ago) are the remnants of a hot plug taking place.

How is the GC-Titan Ridge connected?
  • Is the USB 2 header connected to motherboard? If so, try disconnecting the header.
  • Are any PCIe power cables (2x2 or 4-pin) connected to the GC-Titan Ridge? These should not make a difference, but I'm just curious.
  • We should not connect any Thunderbolt header to the GC-Titan Ridge.
Which Thunderbolt device are you trying to connect to GC-Titan Ridge? Does it appear in IORegistryExplorer under the RP09 --> UPSB --> DSB1/DSB3 sections?

I switched to port #2 and everything is recognized! I also cleared NVRAM, so let me try switching back to port #1 to see if it gets detected.

EDIT- Just hot plugged to port #1 and Thunderbolt bus is still recognized and devices are working!

Yes, I do have the USB cable plugged into the internal hub along with both PCIe power cables.

It might make sense to disable the on-board Thunderbolt controller… Something to consider.

So I'm noticing that the Caldigit is seen in the bus. But the USB ports and audio ports are not recognized, however, the network port is. On the UltraFine monitor, everything is working. Now I do have them chained together with the monitor first in line. I'll try separating them to see if that makes a difference. I'll also try disabling the on board controller and report back.

EDIT:
GC-Titan Ridge (patched NVM33)
While onboard thunderbolt was enabled, the UltraFine monitor was fully functional every time. The CalDigit dock was only fully functional when it was directly connected, not chained.
After disabling onboard thunderbolt- both the CalDigit and Ultrafine monitor were fully functional while chained.

EDIT2:
@CaseySJ
Not sure if this is expected, but I'm seeing UltraFine controls over usb while connected to Maple Ridge-occasionally.
It survives reboots and warm boots, but not cold boots. I can't seem to get it back but when it works... it's glorious!
It would be ideal for me to run the ultra fine over MapleRidge and CalDigit over patched Titan Ridge because when "on" they are both fully functional. At the moment, I can't get it back since taking this screen grab and a cold boot.
So the answer is... get it back and don't cold start, right?:)

EDIT3:
Got it back! Looks like Maple Ridge device 0x15F0 is they key to having everything work. When it's not present, no usb on Maple Ridge. Many boots, it's not present.

New BIOS released. Version 1003.
Notes:
01. Improve system performance and Window 11 OS stability.
02. Update USB PD FW to 1.0F.
03. Update Intel ME FW to 16.0.15.1620 V3
04. Add Thunderbolt FW update method for onboard Thunderbolt models and ThunderboltEX 4 Card support models
05. Update Intel microcode.
06. Improve DRAM compatibility
07. Change PCIe speed hotkey item from F9 to F6.

I haven’t updated yet. I wonder what the new usb pd firmware does. Unclear whether this bios comes with a thunderbolt firmware update or if it enables the functionality for the nvm to be updated at some later point in the future.
