Hello @CaseySJIs this happening at all sampling rates or only at high rates (192 KHz)? Please have a look here to see if this is the same problem that you're experiencing:
Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580
Always willing to help if I can. I do not have a dual boot system setup however I do have a VM Windows 10 Installed using VirtualBox. Not sure if it will work through that but am willing to give it a try. I already tested this on Parallels Desktop, even with a directly connected to VM Windows...www.tonymacx86.com
It was exactly my problem:
44.1 & 48kHz seems to work
88.2 & 96kHz squealing and random distortions
Beyond that, only frying!
I kept the "CPU Base Clock" setting at 100.0 MHz (not auto) as @Ayvan advised me.
Uninstalled / Reinstalled the UAD program.
Sounds good to me, I can switch between different sample rates and up to 192.
Maybe I installed it in a hurry, I don't remember.
Thank you very much for your help which UAD refused to give me.
You were essential in the construction of my project
