I’m sick and tired of seeing peoples pristine computer desks, a completely unrealistic money snapshot of a moment they decided to clean up!. Perfectly polished desks and screens, perfectly positioned mice and cables, come on!, give me a break!. Today is ‘that day’, the day when we say I’ve had enough of this unrealistic glamorous aspiration!. Share your messy coffee cup stained desks, revel in your disregard for cable management!.

@wstrohm, it’s uh very tidy!, I think you can go further with your cable mis-management, don’t fear untidy cables.

Not enough space here to accumulate that much stuff.
That trackball there looks bigger than a baseball. How well does it work ?

Sorry Craig, can't help you out here. This is one of my least tidy workstations. HP 8300 Elite USDT and the LG 24" monitor is not adjustable. It didn't cost much either.

It’s hurting my eyes!. The monitor on top the book does offer some relief though!. I bet @phunguss and @BillyGoatGruff, or BGG as he has become affectionately known, have untidy desks, SHOW ME YOUR DESKS!.

The trackball is a Kensington "Expert Mouse," model K64325 (wired). We have three of them in our house and both wife & I prefer them to mice and trackpads. Yep, it's about the size of a hardball, or a little smaller (no laces). It has a frequently-appreciated advantage of being immediately removable, so that the status of its LED can be seen during operation. I've had some trouble with USB connectivity in the past, and if my cursor is stuck, I lift the ball up and have a look. The LED should be rather dim and steady. If there's a problem, the LED is usually brightly flashing about twice per second. If that happens, I restart the computer and repeat if necessary.

The trackballs haven't failed in the last seven years; at least, past troubles have always been computer-related and not the fault of the unit itself.
