Update:

FINALLY, it all worked out. Everything I'm testing is working.

For those who is using the same setting as mine. I'd like to share my EFI with you.

Cheers.

I tried to use UHD630 iGPU. I can't pass the first load into Catalina after the load of OC 0.6.6. After I put a 580XT in, the installation went through smoothly.

Working:

  • Audio
  • Sleeping
  • All of USB ports

Not working:

  • Ehternet (still working on)

Others haven't been tested.

Does anyone know how to get the Ethernet working?

Thanks.

I have been installed a few Hackintosh successfully in the past. Last system was Z390 based.

Today, I put together a Gigabyte Z490 Gaming X / I7-10700K/ 32RAM / 1TB M2 and using onboard Intel graphic card. But I'm stuck right after Clover 5119 chose boot Catalina installation. Stops at Apple Logo without installation bar going.

Wondering if it's the video card causing the problem. If not, how can I solve it?

Any help is much appreciated.

Please read and comply with the rules, in particular the one regarding profiles.

I updated, thanks.

Boot in verbose mode and post a picture of the screen when it stops.

I selected the option in clover 5119 and put -x in boot args. It's still stuck at apple logo. Is there anything I did wrong?

-x is safe mode.
-v is verbose mode.

Not sure that clover 5119 can boot your Z490 system.

Thank you very much for your quick help here. Please guide me how to install Catalina on my new build.

Here is where it stops.

That is the point where the boot loader ends and the OS begins.
As stated previously, I have doubts that Clover r5119 is up to the job.

What's your recommendation? try Open core instead? I have no experience on that.

I followed your guide and made the USB key. Is there any update file I can download?

Thanks again.
