Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Sorry I posted too soon that what I forgot adding a ‘not’. Anyway, my experiments showed that booting reduced 10 to 12 seconds on my Hackintosh builds, but my legacy MacBook Pro with OC reduced only 2 seconds.
I remember when I first purchased a 960, I was excited about the increased speeds, but got disappointed when I noticed a ten second delay (compared to other drives) in loading macOS. I never knew why there was a delay on the 960 but not on the SATA 850. I thought the 970 would fix things, but no dice.

But based on what vit9696 is saying, seems that the 10 second delay stems from a timeout introduced by Apple to stop the trim operation when it fails to complete in time during boot.

Don’t know what the long term impact will be to our Samsung drives, but good to know we can eliminate that extra 10 seconds.

I don’t have Samsung drives. They are SN550 and BX500 but they both reduce 10 to 12 seconds at each boot now.

Today I flashed the Thunderbolt chip and everything went fine. The result ended in `Verifying Flash... VERIFIED`
and I downloaded the aml from Hackingdrom website and renamed it `SSDT-TB3HP.aml` and also added the `SSDT-DTPG.aml` Rebooted and .. no cigar.. did I miss a step?

Please run IORegistryExplorer and select File --> Save As..., then post the IOReg file.

Samsung EVO 970, 970 PRO, 970 Plus, and 960 owners:

If you have upgraded to OpenCore 0.6.6 and it’s working properly or if it’s failing, please let us know the Firmware Version of your drive.

This information can be found in “System Information —> NVM Express”.

This is on the Z390 Aorus Master just after updating to OC 0.6.6, everything running fine.

I can see the bus in system info ..
But an external usb c drive or my tb3 device does not get recognized..

EDIT: If I boot with my TB video capture device it gets recognized, but not when replugging.. so no hotplug is that a thing?

Is my serial, etc., also in the log files?
The log files are relatively short text files. I don't recall if serial numbers are logged, but if they are, simply use a text editor to remove them.

Why do you say it's disabled? Because you are using Intel Bluetooth, the special USB port map is enabled, highlighted in red box:

If I understand correctly, you mean the red highlighted ssdt provides port definition for all USB's not for only HS14?

Thunderbolt is configured properly. Please note that flashing the Thunderbolt firmware is not necessary. We flash the firmware only if our Thunderbolt peripheral does not connect with the standard firmware.

What are the exact makes and models of your Thunderbolt devices?
