Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Hi Guys,

I'm hoping someone in the forum can help.

I have Z490 with corsair H80i V2 water cooler cpu.

My computer shows HS13 as USB 2.0 Hub.

I want to disable the H80i V2@ 14940000 (Port 4). This device is preventing sleep.
Sleeps works when:
1. I removed the CPU USB header from the motherboard
2. OR if I removed HS13 completely in SSDT-UIAC.aml

What is the best and most elegant way to achieve this without affecting the other 3 devices that also sits on HS13 Hub ?

See below HS13 that shows on Hub port 4 the H80i V2.
Unfortunately we cannot disable an individual port on a USB hub. We would have to disable the entire USB hub. This can be done by adding the boot argument uia_exclude=HS13 to the OpenCore config.plist.

Hi @CaseySJ,
did you (or anybody else) tried to install HighSierra on this setup? I need to keep my GTX for a while, but want to have latest MB+CPU for future...
I know that Mojave will not install on this system, so it's likely that High Sierra may not work as well. However, High Sierra can be installed on Z390 systems such as Z390 Designare.

I have an exact answer for your question now! ~55-58 ℃ on radiator, ~47℃ on backplate.

Thank you so much. Exactly what I want. I think I will get the exact card. But I don't know when that’s going to be possible. No stock in Canada. I think I will wait it out. Thanks again for the answer.

I have a water cooler, which is connected to SYS-FAN. Sleep work well. So, another idea is that you can modify usb cable to 3pin cable.

hi CaseySJ
Can I modify usb cable of wifi&bt card to SYS-FAN pin? because I find the usb cable only provide power to wifi&bt card.

The USB is commonly used for bluetooth data as well, so it's probably best to not, unless it's a weird wifi card which doesn't use USB for bluetooth

if the usb cable of wifi&bt card is connected to f_usb on mainboard, 99% of hackintosh will have sleep/wake issue. So I think if we can use SYS-FAN to provide power to wifi&bt card instead of f_usb that cause sleep/wake issue.

It should be getting it's power through the PCIe lane then - my wifi card only has two wires, which are the USB data pins. So you may not need to connect it at all.

My white Crucial Ballistix RGB 3600 MHz is good too :)
Can I ask you which settings do you use in terms of Mhz and timings?
Got the same ram, non-RGB version, and same motherboard.

Get values from ram manual.
