Hi there :)
Have you tried virtualization? Like Docker or any VM?
I'm interested in building a new Hackintosh with a i9 9900k but I kinda need virtualization to be working.

Pastrychef, I tried your OpenCore EFI (EFI OpenCore 0.6.3 Z390M v2) to install Catalina 10.15.4. it stops halfway and errors out.

Im fairly new to opencore as I have been using clover for almost two years with no issues so now im on a learning curve the past several days figuring out how opencore works

My specs are:

MB: Gigabyte z390 Aorus Pro Wifi
MB Bios Version: F12J
CPU: Intel i5-9600 cpu@ 3.70ghz
GPU: Sapphire PULSE RX 580 8G G5

If you're going to try my EFI, you need to do the following:

Delete everything in config.plist > DeviceProperties > Add except for the audio device.
Disable my USB ports kext in config.plist.
Enable XhciPortLimit in config.plist > Kernel > Quirks.

Not to barge in and move you away from pastrychef's advice, but try my EFI Folder, you have the same board with latest BIOS (make sure CFG is unlocked in BIOS) and near enough same CPU and Graphics.
Everything works in this Folder, iMessage, App Store, Apple TV, all Apple Services, Boot Chime and Audio Assist which you can turn off or on.

On the operating side, Sleep/Wake, USB ports all done also if you have Mojave or Catalina on line or by Hot Plugged, this EFI will boot them also. This is the 0.6.4 OC version with all latest kexts. Please note this is configured for the iMac Pro1.1 which is easier to configure for Apple TV. I have removed my personal data from the config.plist so you will have to inject your own from your current one.

I strongly suggest you try the Folder on a test USB Drive, clean your NVRAM and boot off the USB Drive before committing it to your main drive. Let me know how it goes or if you need any further help. Good luck.
@HackintoshFanN99 - Sorry No.

I use esafeddie’s EFI, with virtualization. No problems at all.

@esafeddie just looked at your latest EFI, since I've been using your EFI for some time now with a lot of success (many thanks).

I noticed you added SSDT-EC-USBX, and chanced from USBPorts.Kext to USBMap.kext can I ask why? and what's the difference?

The revised files you noticed are reputed to have been done to better a USB mapping formula, whereas you have the ability to stick to Apple's 15 port limit or go past the limit so the choice in the config.plist can be Yes/No making switching an easy task, plus the added advantage of proper power management.

May I add my part in this was not all my own, I had to extract my DSDT file on the Windows installation and from there formulate the SSDT files then port the SSDT files over to BS. The SSDTs were then cleaned up by AG along with the USBmap.kext.

Actually I think should have removed those files and kext before posting as they will be more akin to my rig and maybe a bit flaky on another. My advice at this point, stick with what is working for you and whenever necessary just update OC and kexts as recommended.

@esafeddie thanks for the info.

Since we have almost the same MB, I gave it a try. I noticed a few additional features in your EFI too. I've been building the latest OC and Kexts...
End result is I do boot and will play around with the updated EFI. Only difference on the boot my monitor went off and on ... I'll see if this continues. I cleaned up the nvram to only have the boot-arg agdpmod=pikera

thanks for sharing the good work!
