Can you help me with a tutorial? My laptop is the probook 450 g5 and I'll be happy to have Catalina or BigSur (now I'm working nice with Mojave)...
Thanks in advance
Which wireless module are you using?

It just got me to wonder if I should keep all those patches from Rehabman because the battery worked before. Any thoughts ?
No, you shouldn't. Most of them are useless already and they will also affect windows boot. You should start building opencore config from scratch

Yes, my 8470P worked great with the HP-Probook-EliteBook-Package-Creator-OC and Mojave. I have replaced my screen with the 1600x900, so the install was a little glitchy/shady (off screen), but once I got the post install completed, everything was fine! Make sure to add the HDMI patch even though this model does not have HDMI output.

I will swap drives and try Catalina and Big Sur next.

Before post install patches.

----update-----
If you apply the post installer package to your installer media (used my Mojave EFI on my Catalina Install media), then the graphics glitches were cleared.

Could you make a small tutorial how to do It? Thanks

The steps for the HP-Probook-EliteBook-Package-Creator-OC are pretty simple. Download, decompress the archive, double-click the "Install Media HP Laptop OC" to create your USB stick, than double-click the "HP-ProBook-EliteBook-macOS.pkg" and config your settings and select the correct drive.

I have attached my EFI that boots Mojave, Catalina, and Big Sur on 8470p. I removed my SN, and my unpatched ACPI is in there (I upgraded my i5-3320M processor to i7-3740QM @ 2.7GHz).

I think blackcat73's request also goes for the Probook rehabman originally covered in this awesome thread. How about covering all of them? I have read that is also possible to get the card readers working. I will do my very best to contribute for different versions. And maybe the pros here can take it from there. As much as I appreciate rehabman's work it also seems to be the right time to do the OC upgrade. So let's keep this thread alive for rehabman!
Questions: already generated stuff with rehabman's approach and working laptops (battery, backlight, SSDTs, etc.) what can be used for the creation of OC? I have created two EFIs for desktop models. But the laptop approach is slightly different. I'll report back with the first EFI folder for first probook I can get my hands on.

From my experience - almost nothing. In order to get a well working OpenCore hackintosh, you need to setup it carefully, especially when it comes to ACPI tables. For laptops, a lot of SSDT patching should be done.

I used original rehabman clover setup only as a reference.

The ACPI tables give me the willies! But what I was driving at were things such as SMBIOS definitions. example: for HD5500 the dortania guide doesn't provide a list/SMBIOS definition to stick to. Closest match is rehabman's way of pulling it off and use a MacBookAir7,2 definition - but is it a wise thing to do? I cannot tell. Anybody in here?

Okay - my first laptop attempt. HP Probook 430 G2 Broadwell with HD5500 i5 and OC 0.6.3. Sanity Checker gives me green ticks. Serials etc. cleansed. But what about card reader, cam, mic? feedback and a helping hand would be much appreciated!
