Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM

Just get rid of AptioMemoryFix and use OpenRuntime.
Here is the EFI comparison, the one on the left is yours and the one on the right is mine.

I never had to do anything to make external drives appear as external with OpenCore. It always just worked...

I hadn't copied in your USB port mapping kext. Once I did that and turned off the XhciPortLimit patch that resolved the issue.

I mean in /EFI/CLOVER/drivers/UEFI/. Make sure AptioMemoryFix is not there.

Hello,

I have a problem with my config. I installed with Opencore 0.6, everything works fine except that sometimes the top of the screen flickers a fraction of a second. Not a big problem... but when I use Adobe Media Encoder to compress videos, the flickering happens more and more and my hack crashes (black screen). When I disable hardware acceleration on Media Encoder it's OK... but very slow :/

So I updated my motherboard to bios F9l... (I was using f9k beta) : no changes, except that I have no sound. I upgraded to Catalina 10.15.7 and nothing new. Media Encoder still crashes ... My 5700XT seem to have troubles when it's on load.

To get back the sound (bios upgrade), should I reinstall all the hackintosh ? And for my crash problem, do you have an idea ?

TIA

BIOS update should not affect sound. Check config.plist > DeviceProperties > Add > PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1f,0x3) and see what layout-id you are using. Below, in the red rectangle, are the layout-ids that work with ALC892:

Have you tested stability of your 5700 XT in Windows? No amount of configuring will help a defective video card.

Thanks for your reply 'chef !
Well I have no 'PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1f,0x3)' at all ! strange... I must have done something wrong. AppleALC.kext is here. Should I re-execute an OC snapshot ? or put it manually in config.plist ?

I am going to install windows to check the hardware acceleration.

Now the shutdown is working, but I don't know if it's normal to take so long to shut down.
I copied the OcQuirks.efi from r5122 from the Clover / Drivers / UEFI folder and placed it in the same folder as the R5126.
And I removed AptioMemoryFix from Disable Drivers.

You can download the latest OpenCore EFI from post #1 and use the config.plist from there.
