Has anyone been able to get HDMI output working on this laptop? Ive tried a half dozen frame buffer patches but have had no luck. Just trying to get HDMI video output to an external monitor. Anyone? Thanks

Tried and got the same result, black screen after choosing OS, no text output or anything just a black screen.
Id say the problem is your model is different than mine. Im running an i7 with a 4k screen. There are some differences in my ACPI I'm sure. Start with a fresh install using the OpenCore install guide and lets go from there.

I started an EFI from scratch and got this log now:

Here's my EFI, if anyone could check it out I would really appreciate it.

I use hdmi out. Are you using the boot flag igfxonln=1?

Yes I'm using that flag. Seems to have no effect on my laptop for HDMI. My latest EFI is attached

Try the attached EFI. I had an issue in the beginning switching to OpenCore with having a black screen. What I had to do was.. I had a copy of my old clover EFI. I installed it on a USB and booted with it. Once I had video working again with my clover USB I shutdown and removed the clover usb and then rebooted with just open core and everything from that point has worked fine. "until I clear NVRAM" Ill loose video every time I clear nvram and I have to go back to the Clover boot process to get it back. Strange I know.

I added a OC-0.6.3 folder to the guide for Big Sur.
