When it gets to the bios settings just use the recommended settings. There are also a few other dell models that have guides that might help you if you get stuck. See user builds and golden builds.

Hello scottkendall,
I was able to successfully run macOS Big Sur on my Desktop (using OpenCore). The only problem right now, is that I tried all the available layout-ids for my Audio Codec, but nothing worked!

My Audio Codec is the Realtek ALC 3246 & I'm using the AppleALC.kext. Could it be that I'm trying through the headphone jack? The Computer doesn't have a built-in speaker.

Thanks,
Hassan

The internal speaker is the headphone jack in some cases have you tried using the internal speaker? Also, you should have the codec ID set in the device properties as well as in the boot arguments in some cases...

Oh!
I was testing though the alcid=xx boot arg. I will try setting the Codec ID in the Device Properties and see if it will work.

I don't really understand what you mean! The Desktop only has a Line-Out and Headphone Jack.

Screen Shot 2020-11-02 at 8.42.22 PM.pngI plug my headphones in on the back and set them to internal speakers.

How do you set it as Internal Speakers? On the MacOS Settings or boot-args? Because when going to Settings --> Sound, there is nothing shown for Output.

Oh, my mistake I thought you said you only had the internal speaker setting I did not realize you were saying that you had no outputs and that the computer only had those ports. I personally use a Creative Labs external USB sound card because the sound quality is so much better. You might want to do a search for ALC 3246 and dig around for a solution!

Let's just wait and see if the ALC3246 will work first of all! I'm currently not home so I can't do anything. When I'm back I will send the results.

About the sound quality, I used to use a Software which would make the sound higher, but I need to remember the Application Name :beachball:

Hi HassanElDessouki07, could you please send your EFI folder, I've just have the same machine and trying to install catalina on it.
