  1. Has the destination SSD been erased and formatted at APFS?
  2. Is there a file called config.plist (not config-OLD.plist or OLD.plist) in the EFI/OC folder of the USB flash drive (EFI partition)?
Yes, the SSD has been erased and formatted to APFS and there is only the file config.plist

Are all other SSDs and HDDs physically disconnected from the system?

Yes. I changed out the SK Hynix Gold NVMe with a Samsung 970 EVO and I am on the desk top. I am able to connect (login) email through Safari (could not do so without GPU). Unable to connect Magic Mouse to Bluetooth although Bluetooth is available and I have a Bluetooth keyboard connected

The SK Hynix Gold NVMe is not compatible with this system.

Yikes! I guess that will go back to Amazon. Thank you so much!!! Now to connect the mouse. One thing at a time. So very happy that this has finally worked. Now for a date with my wife to look at some art of a former colleague :)

I'm glad it's finally showing signs of life. Catalina is installed -- that was the hard part. Mouse should be easy. Logitech wireless mice are amazingly compatible -- they work in BIOS, in OpenCore, in macOS, in Windows, in Linux.

They. Just. Work.

Yes but, not a Magic Mouse.

The Magic Mouse was still connected to the Z370. Now it is not. Now it works with the brand spanking new system. :) next: create back up.

@CaseySJ I guess success at this point is having access to this OS with this MB and CPU/GPU. All seem to be working except for sleep, the system does not wake or I am not getting data to the monitor (black screen). I checked a link to your Designare build about sleep issues but this is not working. I found one comment about the Fenvi card creating this problem, anything to that? I have to restart with the power button and then I have access to the monitor.
Additionally, I ended up using the EFI folder from OC 0.6.1 and that is what worked for me. I realize that the latest Open Core Configurator doesn’t like that but it works.
