[Guide] Lenovo X250

Hello,
I successfully installed macOS Catalina on my X250 and everything works very well and hassle-free.
The version I installed is macOS Catalina 10.15.2, I'm attaching a photo. To create the pushbutton I used the latest version of Clover Configurator and the UEFI folder files from this link mac-catalina-thinkpad-x250
I'm using a Wi-Fi Adapter USB-AC53 Nano.
As I mentioned, everything works fine with the exception of the batteries, which are 100% to 5% down in 1 hour, (I had over 5 hours of battery life on Windows 10).
After the indicator shows me 5% and I continue to work for 1 hour and it stays at 5%, obviously it draws energy from the second battery but why it does not read it.
My question is if I install "ACPIBatteryManager: latest version is needed for merging the two batteries into one (not in a hardware way ;-), software method)" from the first page, will this really help in my case with macOS Catalina installed?

I went to the link, I would recommend you to switch to virtualSMC and use SMCBatteryManager.kext. Follow the install guide of virtualSMC, you have to remove a driver into clover and install the .efi from virtualSMC.
Have a look here to see how to take count of the secondary battery before applying the patch:

I didn't apply Skylake patches. My X270 is the newer Kaby Lake, i5 7300u.

See comment in Rehabman's patch:

# Note: disable secondary battery
# *** remove this line if you have a second battery installed)
into method label _STA parent_label BAT1 replace_content begin Return(0) end;

Removing this line of code supposedly merges the two batteries together as a single % battery reading.

I bought Kingsener third-party brand. The 68+ is approx 45 euros new from AliExpress.

Before applying the patch, add a # --->:
#into method label _STA parent_label BAT1 replace_content begin Return(0) end;

Don't forget ssdt-batc, if not only one battery as well

If your battery last less into Catalina, it is probably because there is issue with power management.

Thanks for your reply,
Since I'm a beginner at hackintosh can you tell me why it's better to switch to virtualSMC and is this guide from this page for installing virtualSMC?
In fact, I tried to install through this guide but to no avail. I find it very difficult to begin with, it's much easier with Clover Configurator and then just copy the files you need into the UEFI folder and everything works very well in my opinion except the batteries that actually work just don't show them.
If I try to do it by the guide on this page can I make it macOS Catalina or should I stick to macOS Sierra / High Sierra?
And one more question, in time if I decide to return Windows 10 to my laptop, will I have problems with these hackintosh experiments?
Thank you for your understanding and apologize for my ignorance of this topic.

OK, I definitively prefer patching the DSDT, ...myself. From a kick look at your link, it seems that pieces miss. I see USBInject...kext but no SSDT-USB. I do not see SSDT-BATC.aml. Then I am in doubt.
What about sleep state ? Is-it properly working ? Led keeps blinking when in sleep mode ?
If only battery status is not good, it might be fixed by a patch. At least try to add the attached SSDT to patched Clover folder.

Regarding windows 10, you will be able to install it if you want. There is no hardware damages by installing a hackintoch.

FYI, I will do a guide for the x270 / Catalina. For the x250, the method will be very similar.

Hello, thank you for your reply.
Sleep does not work.
I added the attached SSDT to the EFI \ CLOVER \ ACPI \ patched folder and after restart it did not work. Led continues to flash when I am in sleep mode.

Hello,

Could you send your origin dsdt, ssdt... After pressing f2/f4? During Clover menu at boot

Thank you all for your answers and support.
I quit Hackintosh on my X250, I didn't like the battery situation and how the operating system was draining them at a high rate, given that I had 4-5 hours of running time with Windows 10. I installed Windows 10 on the X250.
But that doesn't mean I'm giving up Hackintosh, I just use the X250 too much for office work and work and I don't want to experiment with it, you should always be ready to go.
I have a ThinkPad T420 on which I will buy an Samsung EVO 860 SSD and continue to try Hackintosh.

Battery drain is not due to macOS. It is probably due to wrong power management. This can be fixed.

I'm only getting this far when trying to boot into the installer
Any ideas?
