pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Got it pretty much all cleaned up, besides an apparently cosmetic thing, which I'll mention, only in case you've seen it: On the black/ white apple boot screen, in the upper left quadrant, I see (in white text) this:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++_

Seems to boot OK, so hopefully "it's a Catalina thing".

Thanks again for your guidance.

I see it too. I don't know how to get rid of this.

Yeah, right... "go away for a while"

I'm experiencing something I cannot figure out, related to permissions. All my apps, such as BBEdit, PlistEdit Pro... you name it, can save documents to my Finder's desktop. Nothing fails to load and save to the desktop... except Clover Configurator (aka CC).

Here's an example: I have a config.plist on a different drive. The permissions are set correctly; (I can even force them all to read&write if I want) and cc edits and saves just fine.

When I drag that plist to the desktop and open it in CC and try to save, it tells me I have permission errors. So I go look at the permissions, and they are just fine. I open that plist in PlistEdit Pro, make some changes, and hit save, and it saves just fine.

ONLY CC claims that I don't have correct permissions.

Any idea what is going on?

I have no idea... I've never experienced this...

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll just live with it.

Maybe try re-downloading it or try slightly older version?

Also, check system preferences > Security & Privacy

Hey @pastrychef thanks for the guide again.
Was just wondering what customisation options do you pick when updating Clover for this build?

Also is your latest Clover EFI folder still recommended for Mojave or should I be using an earlier one?

Personally, I don't use the installer package. I manually replace the CLOVERX64.efi file. I usually try to avoid installers whenever possible because many times, I have no idea what files they are installing and where they are being installed.

The latest EFI folder should work fine for Mojave.

Can your EFI folder use in Asus ROG Strix Z370-F for Catalina?
