is Samsung 970 Pro working?

Hello pastrychef.

I have the exact same MOBO but slightly different parts. I have nvidia 1060 ti and 5700 XT. Anyhow, when using your OpenCore configuration, my computer just crashes in the middle of it with big white "stop" sign in the middle of the screen.

I followed your instruction in the first page in terms of BIOs settings, and I have NVMe hard drives, and nothing else.

I turned off WIFI, Bluetooth to simplify things, but no luck.

Only change I made to the config.plist is adding "-v" to the boot-args to get more details

Any pointers?

Do you have a picture of the verbose screen where it stops?

Have you tried the Clover EFI?

Pastrychef,
I'm going to finally give up on my 1070ti and get an AMD card. Would you suggest the Radeon VII you are using or 5500? I actually have zero preference in cards...I just realize that i need to finally move away from Nvidia. I do not game but i do edit video so, FCP, and the Adobe suite.

Thanks for your thoughts.

As of today, I would say that the Radeon VII is better than the 5700 XT simply because the drivers are better. The 5500 is a lower end card than the Radeon VII or 5700 XT.

For productivity, the Radeon VII is probably than the two Navi cards because of more compute units.

I would expect the drivers for the Navi cards to improve quickly since they are already in use on current Macs. So, It comes down to pricing... Also, you can find Vega 56 and 64 cards really cheap now and drivers for those are quite mature.
