I have this rather simple build (Motherboard: Gigabyte Z87M-D3H, CPU: i7 4790k, internal GPU HD4600) and I updated it to the latest Mojave build a couple of weeks ago. I noticed today that the system freezes everytime I open the App Store. I haven't relocated my kext and driver files (they're still in the other or drivers folders) and I also haven't updated Clover since version 4.6.8 or something like that.

I started out with installing the newest Clover version and I deleted NullCPUManagement from the EFI other folder. I changed the RTVariables according to this guide (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...an-sierra-high-sierra-mojave-catalina.268964/). I then wanted to transfer three essential kext (fakesmc, lilu and intelgraphicsfixup kexts) files to the /S/L folder which should be used in the future instead of the EFI other folder. This didn't work and I get plenty of invalid kext messages in the latest hackintool.

I restarted the system and now it's always stuck (doesn't matter if I use safe mode etc.). End random seed is the last message I see after I click on the MAC OS X boot drive on the clover bootloader page.

I'm convinced that this has something to do with the failed hackintool attempt, or maybe I've forgot to include essential kexts during the update of Clover.

My question is this: Which drivers and kexts do I really need for this system? I'm just using the aforementioned motherboard and CPU, which also acts as a GPU. Apart from that I'm only using a generic logitech usb mouse and keyboard along with a D-Link Wifi USB stick...

The kexts should be placed to Library/Extensions and not to System/Library/Extensions.

I used the hackintool to do this. I only had to choose the initial kext folder and I wasn't asked for a destination folder as this is probably set by hackintool to a default path (probably L/E)...
