Hello, mates
I have a Dell M6800 with a NVIDIA K3100M 4GB (dedicated) and an Intel 4600HD 1.5GB (Integrated) working really well. Nvidia manages the digital outputs HDMI and Displayport and the Intel manages the internal display.
The problem is that in system report/Graphics I can see my NVIDIA and Macx video converter shows that Quick sync is Enabled (Hardware encoding supported = YES). But the energy saver doesn't show the check box of "Automatic graphics switching" even the activity monitor doesn't show the label "Requires High performance" and inside the "GPU history" the NVIDIA doesn't show any movement ever even when Final cut is working or rendering.
Summarizing,
Intel: works perfectly
Nvidia:
- Shows image through HDMI and Displyport
- It appears inside System report/Graphics
- Quick sync is enabled
- Energy saver doesn't allow me to check "Automatic grapchics switching"
- Activity monitor doesn't show "Requires High Performance"
- GPU History doesn't show activity ever.
Also problems after sleep:
- Instant wake up (wake reason: HDEF LID0)
Sorry for my english.
Thanks so much mates!!
